Vegas
This isn't actually half bad, especially compared to all the other trades I've seen proposed involving Clarkson. But Shea isn't going anywhere. He and Nate are the top D pairing in Vegas for many years to come.

HabS july the 2nd
Leddy wouldnt cost that much at all
Juulsen ,2nd and a 3rd is more then enough
this clears room for Brook to step in to an NHL role his first year Pro.
(his skating ability and offensive ability at camp last year earned him praise from both coaches followed by a WHL standout season )
Leddy's coming off a bad year and a horrible playoff so i just dont see him getting a max payout
he'll get value as far as an NHL prospect with Games under his belt
but less of a A+ value and more of a A- or B+ value would do .
Trading Mete's fine but atleast do it in a scenario that makes sense .
if you're upgrading Mete for Gostisbhere then sure
but Puljujarvi can be had for less as he's disgruntled and wants out so he'd sign RFA offer sheets.
he's not done enough for EDM 's Holland to give up Cap space to match he'll simply just see it as
way to re-coop draft picks off previous GM's failure. offer him anything over 3m with 5-7 year term and he's MTL's
JP will develop better out here in Laval where he can learn the system and become a key cog
Coach Bouchard in 1 year provided more talent from the AHL for the NHL roster then
our previous coach did in 6 years so i believe JP can be fixed up quickly there.(look at Kulak)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habshabshabs</b></div><div>So your saying pitts better with Hagelin then the 3 players montreal gives up?????</div></div>
no, but the difference there is not worth more than one first round pick.

Realistic Karlsson
I don't know why Sens fans think Karlsson is going to a better return than that. Especially since there is only a small chance of this magical "sign and trade" occurring. The open sign and trade hasn't happened so far this off season, no reason to think it ever going to happen. Maybe EK will just be happier being a UFA next summer.

Personally my favorite player of 2019 is Alex Newhook, I wish he played in a better league.

Thats a Rebuild!
I like the idea overall but not sure about the Ryan trade and the Scherbak one.. if you rebuild, why do you take such a long contract for only a 2nd and a 3rd? And why trade one of your best (yet unproven) prospects on offence for an unproven NHL player ?
Other than that, like the ideas !

Good looking trades all around. Some need some small tweaks and I don't think they will trade Plekanec again. But still solid.

Make the PIT 1st optional for 2020 and that deal works. Failing that, Montreal is better off starting the year with Pacioretty and trading Max 25 games in.
Not sure I like the Scherbak deal just yet, especially since Byron and Shaw are out to start the season. Keep Hudon on the LW and hold onto Scherbak.

I could be wrong but even at 1/2 retained the Pens go over the cap by about 750k. I think they need to add a contract which should lower what the Habs send. Brassard is the most likely contender b/c it should be easy to easily replace him internally by the Pens & the Habs can flip him at the deadline.

Trade with MTL
Honestly hayes is a good player but he is not worth a 1st round pick. This pick could be jack hughes or kakko! Hayes is 26 years old and has never reach 50 points. Even with staal it is not worth this pick. Sorry but montreal is rebuilding. They are not interested in a 31 years old defensman and a center with no potential in exchange of a pick that could be a future franchise player. And schlemko is more likely to give you a 6th round pick, at most a 5th.

Hayes is 3rd line material and they have Kotkaniemi and Poehling coming next season. Danault will be on the third line after that. No way they are trading next years first.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Real_FBGM_37</b></div><div>I don’t think it is possible for a pick to be top 3 protected. Think it is only top 10. Plus T3 is a wee bit too much for patches. Plekanec Trade is ok I guess. OOF that Weber trade. It should be you giving up the first and a 2nd and receiving 2 6ths. Shaw Trade is ok I guess</div></div>
It's possible for a pick to be protected from whatever you want. It's like a conditional pick, you can make the condition whatever you want. You can make a pick protected from being 17th overall or some random number if you want.

in vancouvers position i doubt theyd think of trade eriksson, theyll have a ton of cap space for a while and erikssons contract expires around when vancouver is going to want to compete. unlike the edmonton situation, where they want to win now/soon, which is why they need lucic gone
