Sheary had more points than Little last year and you think Pens need to give up him plus a 1st, 2nd, and MAF?

Agreed. Boedker had a down year last year, no reason to take him.
The only thing here, it won't be Manson on the backend for the Knights...</div></div>
Although I didnt show it in my roster I figured Vegas would be receiving a draft pick for NOT taking Vatanen...
Also, I agree with Broedker... save $ and go after a free agent?

Could be true, but the point of me making this is to show that they can compete from Day 1. I think this defensemen group is actually pretty strong.

He's RFA, he has no negotiating leverage. He doesn't even have arbitration rights. PENS have all the power. He either thanks the bridge or doesn't play</div></div>
Is that how Maatta got 4.083MM? Because Pens had all the power?

This is about precedent, when you just signed another defensemen for 4.083MM you dont go and sign a better defensemen on your team for less than that. Maatta set the bar, like it or not Dumo will get more</div></div>
Let's not mention he helped them win back to back cups as well...He will want to get paid.
If you think you can sign Shultz for $4.5, you better sign Dumo for the same price tag or lose him.</div></div>
Totally agree, I think both take about a 500K discount to stay in PIT and sign for 4.5MM for 4-5 years

Non-offensive defensemen don't get the money they deserve. Look at Marc-Edward Vlasic's contract he signed when he was 25.</div></div>

I'm just shocked at how low people value Dumo...

I'd say its pretty realistic price for MAF. Teams know the Pens either trade him or lose him for nothing to Vegas, will not overpay for him.

4. Probably can trade Fleury to somewhere else and get a return (WPG,CGY;PHI)</div></div>
What? Dumo is Schultz will not be that far apart in salary. Both will be around 4.5MM

Agree to disagree... if the coaching staff is giving him the most minutes I trust he is better than our number 4 but hey maybe they are wrong
Hainsey was a small sample size, played a lot bc he was paired with Dumo... anyhow Dumo and Schultz will get the same money (or within $250k)
