Minny would you consider this at all
Probably not considering JEEK is one of the top 2-way Cs in the League imo, will probably win or be a Selke finalist in the future, it would take a good bit more to get him

WPG JETS IDEAL ROSTER
If the wild had any cap space at all they would do it, we obviously dont, and that’s way too much for Foligno, i get this wasn’t meant to be realistic at all but I’m still feeling like commenting about it

The most realistic offseason I can think will happen

Rossi and Beckman will lose exemption by 2024-25, so if they didn’t make roster, they’d have to pass through waivers.</div></div>
I excluded him based on the fact he played in the playoffs and in a few games last year, yes Faber makes the team

Another point on ELCs, 24-25 i bet will have a lot because i would think by then, we probably have Lambos, Wallstedt, Faber, Rossi, Beckman, Oghren, maybe Yurov and Khudnutdiov by then as well, they should all be NHL ready and it will be a young squad other than Brodin, Gaudreau, Middleton, Spurgeon, Kaprizov, and Merrill if he doesn’t get traded, but i dont see any of those guys coming up out of camp other than maybe Beckman and Rossi

Fleury will stay, he will end out this season with us and i wont be surprised that if in next summers free agency he will sign a contract with Pittsburgh just to retire, guys like Goligoski and Fleury I dont think will move because they aren’t waiving their NMC, and they won’t waive because they dont want to uproot their families, thats mostly the reason they have those NMCs anyways, and i dont see them moving Gus, maybe Addison but thats it tbh

Three 2Cs
I like this idea, idk why Rossi is playing wing, i feel like Khusnutdiov would be in the minors, move Rossi back to center, and move Beckman up to LW on the 3rd line, i like the idea a lot, i also think you can get Duhaime for about 200k cheaper to free up more space, I’m also not 100% sure if Oghren will be top 6 ready yet, i hope he is but i could see him not being there just yet, another point is Matthews value is great but i just dont see why he would come to Minnesota, love the idea but he probably has better offers out there from bigger market teams with more money

Yes i can see why we would maybe trade for him because we have traded for a lot of guys like him in the past but i think we have enough players that do the same stuff he would do, value is there, just not the right team at the moment

MIN-TOR
Another point since I’m picky abt ACGMS, D pairings will be Middleton-Spurgeon, Brodin-Faber, Merill-Addison/Timmins, Timmins doesn’t fit in here but he could be a good 7th D, i would suggest buying out Goligoski or trading him if the wild were to do this, or hell even dont sign Addison and keep Goligoski as the 7th D, I feel like Timmins could be a better replacement for him, and with how team chemistry is Johansson>Jarnkrok in this particular situation because of Johansson’s chemistry with Boldy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>You're not looking at it from the other teams perspective. MIN isn't tearing it down.
You and me can sit here and argue whether they should tear it down or not...I personally think they SHOULD be in tear down mode, but Guerin doesn't.
If you want to do a hockey trade and provide a true #2C...they'll 100% listen. MIN has one of the top farm systems in the league.
I no longer have the energy for Victor Olofsson discussions. Trade him for McDavid for all I care. Too many insane BUF fans out there (not suggesting you're one of them) that make claims of he's a 30 goal 60 point player...easy despite never doing either of those even if you pick/choose goals assists for any of his years.</div></div>
Idk what we would tear down, the guys we need and want to keep are locked up in long term deals, everyone else is either on an ELC or could come and go, no point in selling those role players and rushing the young guys into the NHL, Wallstedt will come up when Flurey leaves, when Hartman leaves we could bring in Rossi if he fully develops, we have Yurov, Lambos, Beckaman, Khusnutdinov, Faber, Peart, O’Rourke, Oghren, all guys that could easily be on the roster when cap hell is up, idk why we would sell when we can pair these guys with Kirill and Boldy, as well as Spurgeon and Brodin on the back end, No way in hell the wild would ever blow it up and no way in hell the wild would do this trade i dont think, But i could see where your coming from, the reason Guerin isnt going to blow it up is because he is looking long term while still (somehwhat) succeeding now, Would it maybe be easier to have pain for a few years and try to get success, yes maybe, but i dont see Guerin selling any of KK, Boldy, JEEK, Spuregon, or Brodin, everyone else is up for grabs and I’m willing to hear out proposals on that if I’m Guerin

Re-trying the Barrett Hayton Idea I had
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drmantalban</b></div><div>It's an interesting valuation. IMO, AZ still declines since it's less risky and more projectable to just keep Hayton.
But I do think it's a good post. Given that AZ is still years away from being truly competitive, it becomes a question of projection. In 4-5 years, would you rather have Hayton OR Lambos + one of [Ritchie, Musty, Cristall, Edstrom, Honzek, etc.]
Ultimately comes down to how highly AZ views Lambos and the 18-25 range of the draft, but that's still too hard to project against the known commodity of Hayton.</div></div>
They could always use the pick they would receive here to trade up too, But I see where you’re coming from, projections can be risky and Hayton has shown sparks of being able to make the jump to a top 6 guy already, so its most definitely less risky

I’m overvaluing a guy who is a future 1C? Is only 22, is ready to make the top 6 jump? I think its pretty fair, other than Cooley he will be AZ best center of the future, he is most definitely worth this, and he’s not just good offensively but he can play defense too, I think its fair, a late first, a middle-top prospect, and Foligno is a cap dump tbh, but seems fair to me

Lmk what you think would make it better for Arizona, I would be willing to give up more, but it seemed reasonable to give up a 2nd, and a guy who can be physical and a veteran leader for a young team, and a good 3rd-4th line replacement guy, seems fair to me but I would be willing to give up more, just probably not in picks
