Blue Jackets post Panarin pt. 1
I think he’d sign with you guys. His best friend plays there and they would light the league up. Texier could be a top 6 most likely top 9 C. Harrington has been a good filler D. He hops between AHL and NHL a lot

I mean. I get that. But I’m thinking one team could keep him in the league. I see him staying in ST Louis to play with Tarasenko if a deal could be reached but. St. Louis doesn’t really need him since they already have Tarasenko.

Maybe take draft picks off both sides. Then resign Vanek too fill svechnikov’s slot. Or leave the picks in and take Hanafin & Skinner

No were getting rid of Dubinsky because hisbokay and physical health this year were awful. We got Cole because we have plenty of puck moving defenseman. We didn’t really have a great shutdown line except for Werenski and jones. Cole and Savard made that line up. Cole isn’t a dirty player.

Yes, because we were the team that needed up with a player up for suspension how many times in the playoffs? (caps) but that’s why we’re trying to rid ourselves of them. We’re looking for an out on Dubinsky, and looking too move Jenner. We were high on him when he put up 30 goals ever since his play has took a dive and he’s started taking dumb penalties we’ve been trying too move him

Hiting isn’t torts game. He likes guys who play in front of the net block shots and who can move the puck. That’s what he’s been building here. I think Karlsson could definitely fit here.

I really don’t believe they are i feel they have multiple stars now as you said earlier and they have the goaltending and have plenty of depth everywhere instead of being very weak on the wings.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>karlsson for panarin might work, but only if Ottawa can't resign Karlsson. They are making every attempt. Shipping out Hoffman was an example of that.
If they can't it might be a good deal for them. Although I don't think either player will stick with either team after the contract is up. I just don't see Karlsson and Torts getting along. Nor do I see Panarin wanting to stick there.
My honest guess is CBJ dumps panarin somewhere to screw him. They will dump him somewhere to have a negative impact on his contract value next season if he doesn't resign. Because I don't think the return on him is going to be all that.</div></div>
Honestly. I think if we had a winning team Karlsson would definitely stay. He could finally lose some national attention. He’d get a fresh start in a city a lot of players say is a great hockey city. Also i think Torts could find a way to get along with Karlsson. I feel like I’m ottawa he’s one of if not they’re only primary option. In Columbus he’d be one of maybe four primary scoring options. Up towards the top but still down the list. I think Stone becomes first follow d by Karlsson then by Atkinson and Dubois. I think we’d have a good shot at keeping him. Especially with dumping either Cole or Savards cap to keep him on board.

How. We receive Stone who preformed at a higher level than panarin if you spread it over an 82 game season. Also on a worse team. Also we’d be getting stone at a smaller cap hit. Id take anyone over Dubinsky at this point. Brown will become a better center than Wennberg. And Karlsson would give us ultimately i would say the best defense in the league. Also a very terrifying power play which killed us in playoffs.
I feel it gives us 2 star players like you were saying earlier while also helping full some slots for Ottawa.

I actually did both teams after the trade if you wanna take a look. Both teams would benefit greatly. And you guys could make some massive splashes in FA this year with that deal still. Both teams would also be in pretty decent cap situations.

I’d say something like this.
Panarin
Wennberg
Milano
Dubinsky
Bittner
Rights to Murray
Rights to Jenner
1st year or choice
Karlsson
Ryan 2.5 million retained
Brown
Stone
It’s a little crazy but has a lot of working parts to it maybe throw in either Savard or Cole instead of bittner so you still have a roster defender

Honestly. I’d rather us get some kind of roster player/ upper prospects if we move panarin. I’d like a move with Logan brown involved. That would set up our top 2 lines on center making Wennberg & Savard/Cole(if he resigns) expendable for us.
I think we could even look at taking Ryan with some cap retained if we got Brown

Maybe a pick also. Like maybe this years/ next years to replace Colorado pick. or a 2020 pick so you guys could have an extra shot at lafreniere. Also wouldn’t be opposed too massive deal with Panarin involved like. What do you think that trade would like?

Definitely. I think it’d be more difficult trying to find that straight up move so instead trying to have panarin fill more than 1 hole as compared to only one is out best option to get the best return

It’s not bad. Honestly. I’m not like everyone else. I think we should be moving panarin not in a 1 for 1 superstar trade. But we should be looking for a team to take him on that has a lot of depth pieces for us so we can rebuild our depth and hopefully get to where we need too be. Columbus has never really had amazing depth. We’ve had good but not cup winning depth. This i think pushes us towards that. Maybe look at the deadline for a good rental too send us over the top

Definitely. I feel like Dubinsky just lost his touch here and got outplayed for a roster spot. He’s a good player. He just needs a fresh start.

If Methot is resigned it will be for penny’s on the dollar compared to his current deal

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>J_Sand3rs</b></div><div>As a Stars fan, I'm thrilled to move on from Spezza and Methot. The thing that really concerns me is the 3 years of $5.85M remaining on Dubinsky's contract. Don't get me wrong, I like Milano, but for us to take the 2-year difference between Dubinsky's contract and the contracts of Spezza and Methot, the Stars might realistically look for Josh Anderson or Oliver Bjorkstrand in return. If Columbus could retain even 1/3 of the contract ($1.95M), the Stars would be more inclined to take Milano.
Overall, I like the concept and I think you are on the right track. I just think that with Dallas having to re-sign Seguin, Faksa, Lindell, Heiskanen, Honka, Pitlick, and some other prospects over the life of Dubinsky's contract that they would look for a slightly more productive return or for Columbus to retain some salary in the deal.</div></div>
I would definitely be fine with Anderson.

Honestly they could up the picks to whatever Arizona wanted. They have the depth in all areas to where the draft isn’t gonna be meaning as much too them in the next few years. They could definitely sweeten that pot with Arizona. Or possibly even Vegas.
