ideal situation
Unless your 1st and zary to just start the conversation are also im the deal the habs easily pass.
Gallagher and anderson combined are only owed 36 million against the cap. Huberdeau is 73 million.
For buyouts
Gallgher 13 million
Anderson 11.3 million
Huberdeau buyout is 67 million
The habs are in no rush to move gallagher. He finished 20th leaguewide in IxG and 21st in iHDCF. He is still an elite play driver on offense and has found chemistry with newhook at the end of last season.
Josh if he has a solid 1st half next year is easily moveable again. Nhl gms dont need a lot of cpnvincing to take a 6'3 230lb career average 20 goal scorer who can fight.

Na. Guhle was better 5 on 5 than hughes and kills penalties which luke didnt this year. Given we have huston already i would much rather kaiden

Could also trade 13th pick for pretty good dman</div></div>
A pretty good dman....like kaiden guhle?
Unless your giving us luke hughes instead of the pick why wpuld we trade the 9th youngest nhl regular dman for at best a older worse dman.

Not remotely.
We have 0 use for rossi we would rather have the wpg 1st
Theres no dman at 13 whos a material improvement on guhle projection wise and they have to hit to even be at guhles level. Theres 0 incentive to take that gamble.

Habs wouldnt pay more than the wpg 1st for rossi (they dont want him anyways) and the 13th pick isnt enough for guhle. No dman available at 13 will be a 20+ mins nhl dman in the next 3 years.
It makes 0 sense for the habs

Habs easily pass on that.
Its not a stretch to say that with the term remaining , the full nmc, the dollar, and signing bonuses making it buyout proof that Sean Couturier is the worst contract currently in the nhl.
Dvorak has 1 year left hes not a concern for the habs cap and josh can be bought out easily in a year or two.
You would have to add a top 5 pick for teams to even stay on the line with you on that contract

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>That’s crazy I figured Philly should pass that deal favors Montreal way more and almost seems like a joke. If you pass sharks wouldn’t Johansson is 1 year at 4 mil not hard to swallow vs Anderson deal and Konecky is a 30 goal scorer vs a young (albeit promising) LD and you guys have a pretty stacked young D core.</div></div>
Thats like saying the sharks can trade will smith because they have thomas Bordeleau. They play the same position but they arent the same player.
Guhle is already playing top pairing minutes putting up good defensive metrics in them. He is also comfortable on both sides.
He is the untouchable of the group especially not for a 5'10 27 year old winger

Have you ever met Tie Domi he was the same size and rocked every single NHL tough guy?
Why are most people in here to TROLL!</div></div>
I have met tie several times my family has been season ticket holders of the petes for over 40 years.

Trading up with Marky
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs_trade_churner_50</b></div><div>My guess is that only our 2024 1st from Winnipeg is on the table.
Now if Montreal remains at pick 5 and Calgary at pick 9, they might swap picks, as long as Calgary gives up a player like Connor Zary and in return we add Pittsburgh's 2nd in 2025.
(The flames shouldn't do this though.)</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shaun80</b></div><div>Lol I don't think Montreal would part with 5th overall but that's a huge overpay to move up 4 spots.</div></div>
Its 4 spots in the single digits. The closest comparable in the last 20 years is the 2008 luke shenn draft
5th went for 7, 37, 68.
The flames picks are 9, 27, 41, 64.
41 and 64 match the 37 and 68 while 27 is the extra cost for moving 4 spots instead of 2.

To get the habs 5th overal pick ypu are giving 9th , the vancouver 1st, the 2 2nds this year and taking on josh anderson.
We dont want coronato or kuzmenko.

See unlike the leafs the habs care about cups and spending 3 1sts including a top 5 pick on a perennial choker who will be one of the highest paid players in the league on his new deal again is an easy pass.

Even with extension they dont. Hes the 9th highest paid player in the league and he will want more on an extension. Hes choked too many times to pay out that kind of money
