i dont think anyone sees him as a top 20 player in the league. Top 6 centre though is a definite possibility

If Utah is a buyer this offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>True, I'm just going off the assumption that the owner in Utah will want to speed up the process to be competitive. Barron and Lamoureux are actually fairly similar prospects (both former 1sts, both played for Canada at the WJ), but Barron is older and more NHL ready. The big difference is Lamoureux is waiver exempt, Barron isn't. But the difference in value between Crouse and Matheson more than makes up for it imo.
The only reach is the early 2nd rd pick. Matheson is way more valuable than Crouse. Tried to make up the difference with swapping Barron with Lamoureux and adding a pick. If anything, the pick should be downgraded or removed.</div></div>
Yeah like Barron is not unvaluable, and there is a gap between matheson and crouse, i just dont think they would be looking to speed up their rebuild in that way. Maybe they buy a couple guys in exchange for some of their second round picks or sign some FAs with their capspace though

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsbeathabs</b></div><div>The average median temperature each month between November and April Boston runs between 10-15 degrees warmer. That's pretty substantial actually.</div></div>
well yeah theres absolutely a difference, but I would think for someone born and raised in Sweden, that 10-15 degrees of warmth difference is not a complete deal-breaker

i could see it either way. If like Iginla is available at that pick (unlikely though) then I think we make the pick, but if we flip it for a young player who can contribute now in the middle 6 then I would be okay with it too

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsbeathabs</b></div><div>Or maybe he doesn't want to live in a place where the temperature is below freezing from early to mid November thru March/april. A couple years ago TB was playing Ottawa just before the Christmas break and they showed people ice skating on the river lake whatever it was . They said they just started letting people skate on it a week ago because the temperature had to be below freezing for at least 6 weeks. Brrr</div></div>
the tempetrate difference between Ottawa and Boston isint that different to be honest

I would do that as the sens, there might also be interest in Knight if the panthers would take forsberg back in the deal too but thats a bit riskier

Trade them both
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wescam</b></div><div>I think if you are bringing in veteran leadership to speak to this team it needs to be someone who has played at a high level, I do not think I would want either contract with injuries and age but I thought this might be a solution for both</div></div>
I wouldnt be opposed to bringing in couture if he was retained so the sens could maintain a bit of cap flexibility, but the sharks have all their retention slots used up next season so it wouldnt be possible. He is also 35 years old and is coming off a season-ending injury himself, so im not sure the injury risk is necessarily lower than norris. If we need a 3C with leadership (which I do think we need), I think there would be cheaper and more cost effective options
