Why do you make a thread to trade all crap 4 crap? Hamonic is the only player with average or better value.

This is garbage. Trouba is looking at a 6m x 6yr deal. That is why they may trade him. Atleast follow the player you are trading for a little before you trade for him. That crap offer is like a Dumba offer.

Russell is terrible. He made Dougie Hamilton go from a top pair dman to a random #4. After russell left the flames Hamilton stock soared. Berglund? Really? He's like a friggen clone of Beleskey. Edmundson + Butler are impaired and I know you didn't give up a lot, but that trade is awful. You traded for crap we already have + Russell, who is the single most overrated dman in the league imo. Blocking shots? It's called get the foreward you are responsible for + yourself out of the way. You are litterally impedeing the goalie by stepping in the shot lane so close to the goal.

Sweeny is bad like drugs. I think he leached off Bourque as a Dman and he leached off Chiarelli as a GM! MFer is making the same mistakes Chia got fired for. Brekel please explain to me how Seguin + Pevs for Conky'd Ericsson, Smith (who Sweeny traded for a soft giant) and incompetent Morrow... isn't the same as what you got for your other young star (HAMILTON) We got pennies on the dollar. We sold Hamilton for like #13 + 2 2nds and CBJ wanted 3x 1st's for ****** Werenski. That's called getting hustled. Hamilton had way more value than Werenski, yet we have a tool at GM. who doesn't want to make any waves. Sweeny is sackless as a GM.

To me Spooner is like the golden goose this year. He put up 49 points last year and is currently making wampum. Let's not trade him for a scrub who was aquired by the ducks at a wholesale price and friggen pay them 3x what he's worth. For the S.A.T. geeks Spooner is to Boston what Despres is to Anaheim. Why would we take on 3m x 5 years? Spooner can be moved at the deadline to any team for premium picks. Like 2x late seconds and a third.

My Preseason Outlook (All Opinion)
This makes zero sense. You're like Vatrano played RW on his call up so he should play there. Were you not watching? Vatrano sucked as hard as Connoly. Then he was sent to the AHL and scored a friggen goal per game at LW! I went back as far as I could (2006 or so) and noone had done that while finishing in the top 20 league wide in points like he did. Then you say Spooner at LW... again I am questioning if you watch the game. Spooner was average last year, but along the boards and in tight spaces he was a weak turd. He doesn't have a high compete level and struggles in tight spaces, let him shine at C.

I think those trades hurt us in the long run. McAvoy, Carlo, Lauzon and Zboril don't all slot in anymore. Do you really trust dum dum Don to get fair value for some of them? Hell, the only trade he won was Lucic to L,A, but then he botched it by trading Jones to SJ for a 1st and AHL calibur prospect. You need to simplify things and hope he reads your posts, you probablly couldn't do worse than he's done.

Why make a rant about Mueller being a top 6 guy and then put him on line 3? Yes, we all know he's better than Hayes, but why even bother? I'd rather see you suit up than Hayes because I don't definately know you suck as bad as him. If this was a Hayes sucks thread you should have just created like " a pair of pink panties" instead of him, atleast they might obstruct the other team some, unlike Hayes the smallest big guy in the league.

I think Pasta + 2017 1st is overpay. Anaheim played like 6 dmen 19-23 minutes. Being #2 of that doesn't speak top pair to me, especially when # 3 + 4 finished within 1 minute of atoi. To me a top pair type guy refers to someone playing 24minutes or more, otherwise if they are all lumped in a cluster there really is no "Top Pair" It's merely a rotation.

Why would Rakkell be more value than Spooner? Rakkell gets more goals, but you pay him 3.5m when Spooner is making peanuts this year. Flip the pick to our side and I'm still not sure its a slam dunk. We could trade Spooner at the deadline to anyone because everyteam could take on that prorated salary. I think he'd be an RFA for the team trading for him also, so thats even more value we could get.

Tuukka Rask!!!
That trade is garbage. Ennis is more likely to be bought out than moved. Who wants a soft undersized injuryprone winger who can barely put up 40 points when he makes over 4 million? Lehner is bad as well. Rask is easily a top 15 goalie in the NHL and a top 5 goalie if you look at raw stats of the last 5 years combined. If you want Rask then offer something like Bogosian + 2017 first and hope Rask gets you to the playoffs. You can't get any top 20 goalie from last year for what you offered, no matter the age of the goalie. Maybe you could get a tier 2 guy like Cam Ward, but who knows if they would take on a cap dump like Ennis.

Desperate to fix that Top 4
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BreKel</b></div><div><i>You won't get all that for Krejci. I don't see CBJ as a good fit. You obviously filled a need with Savard, but didn't CBJ just move their #1C for a defenseman? I don't see them wanting to take away from their D-core that they've been building to add another #1C. I'm sure they would have rather kept Johansen. I see CBJ trading picks/prospects and such for a #1C, if they want to acquire one to begin with.</i></div></div> I Think CBJ traded Johansen because he wanted out. Jones was the best 1 for 1 talent offered. I didn't interpret CBJ as being more geared towards defense at all. One thing I will add to what you posted that supports what you are saying is they drafted Dubois. A lot of prospect rating sites say Dubois could be a great 200 foot C. If they just passed up on 2 guys who were considered better by the majority of people because they don't project as C's (Puljujarvi and Thachuk) to take a guy to be a #1C then I doubt they are in the market for a 30+ year old #1C. Had they selected a Dman or winger this trade would look more fitting for their needs.

I guess the question is does the downgrade from Spooner to Nash get offset by the upgrade from McQuaid to Savard? How much better do the Bs get with this?</i></div></div> I'm pretty sure Vatrano played the majority of his NHL games at RW with Bergy + Marchy. If not majority it was very close.

He played with them last year, do you really want Hayes with them or something? We had our chance to sign Stepniak and passed. I don't think we passed planning on Hayes taking top6 RW.</i></div></div>
So why not put Vatrano with Krejci, a playmaker, and put Pastrnak, Heinen, Vesey;), Backes or Nash with Bergeron and Marchand? Lots of options besides Hayes.</i></div></div>
I agree with this a lot. Marchand just scored 37 goals. Is he going to do it again? I doubt it, but he can easily reach 30 if he shoots as much as he did last season. Last year, Marchand had 250 shots. That was the most he's taken in his career (single season wise). So with that, he needs a guy that will get hiim the puck, not another looking 'shot first'.
Krejci is definitely the best pure playmaker on the team, and his passing should work with Vatrano. That said, i wonder if Vatrano's style would fit with Krejci. David is methodical and slow moving when it comes to playing offense. He's not one to go 100 MPH. Vatrano is a fast skilled guy who plays an uptempo game. I'm not saying that they wouldn't work, but I'd want to see how it works out.
Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pastrnak
Vatrano -- Krejci -- Backes</i></div></div>
Pastrnak plays a high tempo game also. He and Krejci seemed to have decent chemistry together. Pastrnak still seems like more of a playmaker then scorer to me, so with Vesey signing I'd like to see:
Marchand - Bergeron - Nash/Heinen
Vesey - Krejci - Vatrano/Pastrnak
Beleskey - Backes - Pastrnak/Vatrano
Nash/Heinen - Spooner - Acciari/Hayes
Late game with a close lead Backes would move up to RW.</i></div></div> Nash on the first line is like slitting your wrist and giving up. He's a 4th line or AHL foreward.
