It would likely require Arviddsen being shipped and I’d rather have him than Mantha personally.
I could see Arvidssen, Talbott, and a number 1 for Ullmark and Boqvist, but I doubt either team does that deal.</div></div>
The thing is Edmonton already asked about Ullmark in the offseason and looking at LA and EDM goalie situations, they both STINK. Ullmark’s price is going up and will continue to the deadline. His price won’t be that high in the offseason. If they get desperate enough they will absolutely make cap room for him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>I am hoping for a two goalie rotation in the playoffs keeping our guy healthy. It’s pretty obvious that both can flourish in that situation and are good enough to be solid number 1’s. What isn’t obvious is whether Ullmark can hold up to the wear and tear of being the sole goaltender.
Eventually, we will have to make a decision but it should t be for futures unless it’s the offseason and you can use cap space to get something very good. I had flag a few futures deals with the Kings last offseason, but they don’t have the cap flexibility or mindset to spend money on goaltending.
The closest thing to a win now deal would be something like Zach Hyman and Stuart Skinner for Linus Ullmark and Derek Forbort … and that deal is debatable on how much it would help
With regards to Turcottte, I probably wouldn’t trade Lysell for him because Lysell has more time to emerge before you have to expose to waivers.</div></div>
I think Swayman is better than Ullmark and we should ride with him as he should be the starter for the next decade and Bussi is an nhl level goalie who can easily play 20 games this year in the Bruin defensive system. As far as Ullmark for a roster player I would rather get a really good prospect or young player, save the money and sign Lindholm next year as the number 1 center.

Again, Boston is not moving Ullmark for cap space this year. They move him to improve the roster. Otherwise they wait til the deadline or the offseason.
Offer sheet. You’re funny. Nobody actually does it and they have a ton of cap space next season, matching won’t be a problem.</div></div>
Again, no sh*t, this is dependent on if they really need a goalie and make room for one
Yes this is a deadline deal
He already went to arbitration and obviously wants to be a starter. As far as offer sheets go if the cap goes up what they say it will there will be a lot of them this offseason, you’re confused with guys actually accepting offer sheets and being offered one. A lot of guys get offer sheets but don’t sign them and they don’t get reported. Ullmark getting moved is inevitable might as well do it at the deadline when his value is highest and ride Swayman to the finish line because he should be the starter for the next decade.

And only one goalie plays in the playoffs, people seem to forget what happened against Florida last year. Swayman is the future and Bussi is already an nhl level goalie. As far as the trade goes idk his value a first and a good prospect doesn’t seem too bad.

B’s not trading Ullmark for cap space/futures this year unless they are out of it at the deadline. If they move him anytime soon it’s to make the team better, this does not.</div></div>
Obviously this is based on them making cap space, no one has cap space this year. Looking at the teams who need goaltending like LA and EDM they probably won’t want to part with players already on their roster as they are both playoff teams, maybe Holloway or a better player from LA. Ullmark being moved is inevitable unless you want Swayman to accept an offer sheet next offseason. Beecher and Poitras has delayed the need to find centers immediately.

If they get the right offer they should. Ullmarks value will be highest at the deadline rather than the offseason. Seems like a lot of teams need goal tending this year and having 2 top 10 goalies is a luxury they won’t be able to afford next year because Swayman is getting a hefty contract.

7 is prob a tad high for swayman unless he's a Vezina contender this year.
Lysell has no shot of making the team next year imo. Merkulov certainly could.
I like the bottom pair signings and the Bussi signing too, good stuff.</div></div>
I would like to Lysell get called up this year for a few games if there's an injury, need to know what you have in him with Debrusk being ufa. I think someone will offer him more than what the bruins want to give him and I would rather see that money go to a center like Lindholm.

If he likes LA that much then that makes sense, I could also see the Bruins pitching him the number one center spot between Marchand and Debrusk which might entice him to waive it especially after the Dubois trade which will limit his ice time playing on the third line.

Does this work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>Why are you under that impression about Poitras? 9 games is a deadline to make a decision, but I saw no evidence to send him down yet.
I would say that Zacha is even lower than you suggest... he is a passable 2C who the team is hoping has more to give, but we can agree he is not the ideal 1C at least for now. But even if Nuge is better, I don't want the team to give up their two best trade assets to hitch their cart to him as a 1C. He is also more of a 2C on a competitive team, and he is now on the wrong side of 30.</div></div>
I have a feeling Sweeney is going to send him back to juniors which I don’t want to happen. I think he sends him down, moves geekie to 3rd line center, and puts Heinen on the wing then Sweeney starts trading off pieces like Ullmark, Grz, and maybe even Debrusk to regain draft capital after giving up so much last year because they won’t be able to compete with the top dogs in the eastern conference this year, that’s my prediction of what I think will happen. I would rather see the young guys stay up this season and I do agree with trading some pieces because I would rather see guys like Merkulov, Lysell and Lohrei get a chance rather than guys like JVR and Forbort.

Obviously EDM fans are overreacting a bit after one game but how desperate do they get if the goalie situation continues. Debrusk would put up similar points playing in the same spot as RNH and EDM is probably the only other place besides Boston where he would take a discount to play after this season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>I would not do this. Nuge for DeBrusk might have made sense before, but right now the C situation is much less dire with Poitras. Unless DeBrusk is seeking 7m+, the Bruins should keep him because he is 4 years younger, so he will have a positive impact for longer. Throwing in Ullmark too and only getting back Foegle makes it worse.</div></div>
I’m under the impression Poitras is going back to juniors after 9 games, which I don’t think should happen. Debrusk is definitely going to get a raise probably over 6 million and I think that money probably should be spent else where next year at the center position like Lindholm from Calgary unless you can trade for a center. Coyle is a great 3rd line center and Zacha is a great second line center, neither are a first line center.

Don't say something negative and then call someone insecure for saying something negative back. Sabres are the future, best prospect pool in the nhl imo while they are already competing for a wildcard spot. Bright future on the horizon, no hate over here:cheers

Doesn't have to be Buffalo but figuring they have so many promising young prospects they would seem to be a team willing to start trading picks next year especially since they have 2 second rounders.

Merkulov has 42 points in 51 games in the AHL after leading ohio state in goals, looks pretty promising
Lysell was a point per game in the AHL at 19 before he went to world junoirs and has slowed down still our best prospect.
Beecher projects as a career bottom 6 center but replaces nosek for half his cost.
This team is still better than the Sabres by a lot.

Not super familiar with him, seems to have very similar stats as Poitras but is more of a goal scorer, not sure how much better he is. My concern with those guys is how far out they are from the nhl level, if Ullmark were to be moved I think the Bruins would want someone who could play in the lineup within the next year and not go into a rebuild with the guys they have locked up in their prime of their careers
