If we do select first overall Id call for Zegras to move to the wing as a RW-C somewhere down the line. Mctavish and Shane wright is the preferable 1-2 C combo. That said, this lineup is just to dreamy for me and I dont how Henrique makes it to 22-23 season with this club/management.

Yes the ducks are looking to dump the contract. However, I dont have an exact percentage but insurance covers a good portion of the cost of Kesler's contract. You wasted your time.

Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Buffalove</b></div><div>I don’t have a prediction
But Minny & Anaheim seem like the most likely spots to me
With Minny, it would have to include Rossi or Boldy (or both)
With Anaheim, I’d say Zegras, Drysdale, McTavish (or a combo)
I can’t see Buffalo letting him go without getting top notch assets back
We can always just keep him (even though that’s not ideal)
He’s under contract for 5 more years, so there’s no real hurry to move him
And the NMC doesn’t worry me at all- not till the last year of his deal anyways
If he really wants out, he’ll waive to a decent place rather than continue losing here
That’s all just my opinion of course</div></div>
so I agree and disagree with a-lot said here.
Anaheim is still somehow in this discussion and all I can say is they wont part with Z at the very least. That is for certain. McTavish or Drysdale on the other hand will never be in a combo(My opinion/Not impossible). At the very most you're getting one of them w other assets. If you disagree I would say look past the perceived value of these players and look towards not only the history of the nhl but the trades Anaheim has made in recent years(Hint: We dont do big blockbusters and are quiet in the trade market). Id be very doubtful Drysdale is an actual possibility unless he's like 3/4 the value going back to Buffalo. He's not untouchable tho.
Regardless Minnesota is the best destination with the best package. Maybe VGK. Idk.
Lastly keeping him beyond the halfway part of the 21-22 season (unless he actually plays or does the surgery) would be catastrophic for Buffalo. Bad attention, unnecessary stress on the players from media and the sabres practically being known for their off ice issues then the team will just tank any chance of you guys building a healthy franchise. Its not an option imo. There should be some type of urgency to get the best deal. Not saying sell low or rip the band aid but waiting too long is an actual consequence here.
Anyways thanks for sharing and answering my questions.

im happy to hear. Think Dostal is a perfect successor to gibby and rather keep a top 5 pick for the 2022 draft. Lets work together to spread the word thatour two rebuilding franchises are not meant to make this trade. Im curious...what is your actual prediction for the Eichel trade? Team? Most valuable asset in return? Be specific if you can.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MJCrv</b></div><div>No. Players don’t care about that stuff as much as ppl think. They either follow the money or go to the good teams. If the Sabres build the team properly and are winning, no one will care about Jack eichel’s situation anymore.
Also, UFAs are fools gold anyway. They’re always overpaid and put your team in cap trouble. Good teams are built in the draft</div></div>
Agree on UFAs. Why I strictly mentioned RFAs. That said, in Buffalo's case the only great players they seem to produce from their system are top 5 draft picks. Possibly top 10 with Cozens and Middlestat. But with Buffalo's future seeming to be destined to draft in the top 10 range for another year at the very least I do see this having a longer lasting impact. With management not being open to player choice I could see top talents like Wright not being privy to enter this organization long term. Nonetheless I do agree with what you say here but I dont think it can be applied to buffalo's situation unless they become a franchise that develops later round prospects much much better than shown in recent years.

Although I do understand your pov and the overall frustration of this situation do you feel this take or recent events will only make Buffalo's future harder? Like do see this s***show taking affect with future RFA signings?

Eichel is going to fetch so much. Whatever you expect to get double it because he's more valuable then ever. Word on the street is his medical records are being shared all around the league with there being many suitable trade candidates.

Final offer for Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kopitar11</b></div><div>So you say Turcotte+1st+Madden,I offered Kupari+2 1sts+Madden,yet you call my deal garbage,Clague is a B/C level prospect,2nd is better than a mid round pick. Again I don't mind putting Turcotte in there instead of Kupari and a 1st,but the deal is better than you make it to be.</div></div>
yea its garbage for these reasons
1. its a blatant undersell. It wouldnt hurt the farm or long term outlook to add Turcotte
2. Do you expect the kings to be bad next year if they acquire Eichel? That 2022 1st is at best a 10-16 pick if lucky
3. The best asset in this trade is the 2021 1st. Hey like I've said I think Buffalo's trade pov is a tad delusional but the most valuable asset received from this trade being Kent Johnson, Simon Edvisson, etc. is robbery. Good players but theres alot of development needed and like Buffalo is a franchise that is known for their prospect development.
4. You added Olli Matta. How has he been for you guys? I recall a bunch a b****ing and moaning from the kings fanbase this past season.
5.Clague is already getting to that age where you pretty much know what player you're getting. Wouldnt really label him a prospect. But hey to each its own.
1/5 Trade

lol. As someone who thinks the Sabres fanbase and management have been a tad unreasonable in regard to this possible trade this is pure garbage. Give up Turcotte, a first, madden and another mid pick or b/c prospects. The Kings can d*** well afford giving up these pieces. Maybe adding madden is a little over the top but this type of post is ridiculous as asking for a teams 2 best prospects and a top 10 pick.

To many what ifs with that package. No team other than Minnesota (IMO) is going to offer their #1 prospect.
This team would be middle of the road. Dont really see a management that was pro rebuild at the start of this season being ok to settle on Jack being their future with out Dach. Seems very short sighted.

I feel crazy saying this but no. Anaheim wont give this up. At most your getting one proven young roster player with a prospect and this years1st. Well at least that's most ANA should pay. The days of "Its starts with Zegras" are long gone and like Eichel is willing to put on a Sabres Jersey again.

Next years line-up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Once again, I'm with you. Fowler, Lindholm and Fleury on the defense side. Jones, Lundestrom, Steel and Terry at forward. Depending upon whom we trade prior to the expansion draft, I'd keep Henrique (we can't afford to lose both of our veteran centers the same year) and Rakell or Silfverberg. Believe it or not (and I know this is idiosyncratic), my seventh protected forward would be either Grant or Volkov.</div></div>
Grant?!?!?!? He was our worst player this year. numbas dont lie.
For the post
1. I would only want OP in the 2-4 range. Really prefer Beniers(cant spell) over anyone in the top 4. Could see Hughes being a possibility.
2. I love the idea of using jones, Steel, Milano, or Lundeström as trade bait to have Seattle swallow up a contract. Very unlikely tho. If we had to lose a player straight up Mahura is the likely candidate. Wouldnt mind if its Steel. Dont see him having a future with this team.
3. Warm body? Ouch...he wasn't that bad this year. We sent him to production hell with grit and veteran presence on the 4th line there.
4. No big signings...... no big trades. You know the deal this is ducks hockey.
