Players i would target
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rags21</b></div><div>If he was being carried by Smith or Leonard, then both of them would have more points than him. He dominates every level he’s played at lol
Perreault’s style of play will be similar to Panarin and Fox</div></div>
You very clearly dont watch him play huh? Leonard out of the 3 of them is the best at create by himself. Smith is a better play driver and passer. Gabe Again is really good but his skills / play would be harder to transition to the NHL level due to the speed and strength factor. Besides Rizzo he has the least amount of goals in the top 10. BC also have 4 top 10 players in scoring in the NCAA
Perreault’s style is nothing like Panarin. you should really watch him play

My thought was Jensen is a good #4 or 2nd pairing guy. He would be a good pairing guy w Reilly and his it will be fairly low.

As for TVR... He is getting up there in age but as a bottom pair D at only 1.5M, I am in.</div></div>
He's playing top pairing w Carlson now i believe

Perreault is a good prospect do don't get too crazy... Othmann is much better imo. Perreault benefits from playhing w 2 world class prospects... even with him out those 2 havent slowed down. AGIAN dont get me wrong Perreault is great but hes more of a complementary player like Kunitz / Guentzel. AGIAN thats imo

sooo basically 4 first round picks and a 2nd to dump VV? sound really steep and feel like they can get a better value elsewhere

Buch value is comparable to Guentzel imo it would be more bc of the term
1st A level prospect good roster player + 3rd.....
id say 1st + Liljegren + Cowan + 2nd / 3rd gets you closer

Conservatively, you’re looking at roughly the equivalent of 3 firsts for what you’re asking for here. Broberg, Bourgault, and a first is the bare minimum for all of these pieces combined.</div></div>
Beat me to this comment lol

Yeah this aint SAM'S CLUB.... you dont save when you buy in bulk.
Dowd = late 1st / 2nd + prospect
Lindgren = 2nd ish
Mantha = late 1st / 2nd + prospect
Edmundson = 3rd (market value)
Beck not available if he was i would ask for a 3rd
Basically need to add 1 more 1st and a few prospects / 2nds

For Chernyshov, the consistency and defensive prowess isn't there.</div></div>
oh i thought you meant he was / could develop into Malkin... i was gonna say if thats true he would go 1st overall

As fans we rarely get as full a picture as GM's do. I would say if your team is comfortable drafting him then you should. It's really more about his work ethic and figuring out whether the incidents were meant to be immature jokes or draw greater personality concerns.</div></div>
would he be in a Mailloux type situation where hes good enough for the NHL but morals and fan pressure will keep him out of the league longer than necessary ? im not entirely familiar with his situation ill google it later when im not on a work server lol

Yeah the Capitals suck but the coach is electric and has them believing they are Pittbulls when in reality we are Weiner dogs. I would love to sell and suck...maybe pick in the top 10. idk if that's possible anymore AZ is actively trying to set a loss record. Id be happy getting assets and drafting Iginla

i mean im very pessimistic but the GM has done very well getting value for players that arent a part of the future. basically turned Orlov into Sandin. got a 2nd for Eller and 3rd for Mojo. They have done well. Mantha might be worth keeping and extending if the offer isnt crazy. He's really boosted McM and Laps play and thats great for development. I hope you are right and we get (2) 1st round picks this deadline

I'd be thrilled to get a 2nd for Mantha. Some Capital fans are shooting for the moon and want a 1st but im cool with this trade. Id also try to sign him in the offseason if im the Capitals.
