Was the 2015 Draft class the best class since 2003?
I'd say it's even better than that class. We've got the best player in the world in Connor McDavid. Franchise talents like Jack Eichel, Mitch Marner, Mikko Rantanen, Mat Barzal, Sebastian Aho and Brock Boeser. Potential Norris winners in Ivan Provorov, Thomas Chabot and Zach Werenski. This isn't even mentioning the guys like Timo Meier, Noah Hanifin, Kyle Connor, and Jake Debrusk. We've got more guys with untapped potential like Dylan Strome, Pavel Zacha, Colin White, Joel Eriksson-Ek, Jack Roslovic, Denis Guryanov and Anthony Beauvillier. Plus Ilya Samsonov hasn't cracked the NHL yet.
There is so much talent in this draft class that it's going to go down as the greatest draft class in league history

I can't stand this narrative that somehow the Blues lost this trade because of the standings. ROR is our leading scorer and hasn't done anything to question his work ethic/dedication/leadership abilities. He's not the one to blame for the Blues sucking - in fact, we've been bad for an entire calendar year at this point, long before ROR joined the team. I can't imagine where we'd be without making the trade... it wouldn't be at the top of the league, that's for sure.

People are very quick to ridicule these extensions that keep players until they are in their mid-late 30s. Fact of the matter is that these extensions are necessary to keep the player during a championship window.
Sure, Wheeler isn’t going to be worth $8.25M when he’s 37. But considering the Jets are in a prime position to win a championship, it would be foolish for them not to resign one of the best and most consistent RWs in the game.

Stupid Lineup Challenge
A little fun challenge for whoever has decided to waste their time by clicking on this thread.
You must come up with a 20 man roster, featuring 12F, 6D and 2G. Everyone must play their position; salary cap doesn’t exist.
You must have the following in your lineup
- each letter in your username must be represented by at least one player who has a last name beginning with that letter
- you must have at least 8 different nations represented on your team
- you must have at least 6 IRL team captains on your team
- David Booth must be your 4th line LW
Make the best team possible. Have fun

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KSIxSKULLS</b></div><div>Domi is younger. Puts up the same points. Will be cheaper. Chucky has more wear and tear. how does he have better potential?</div></div>
13 months younger is hardly worth mentioning and just comparing the raw numbers side by side Domi will be cheaper because he isn't as good... in regards to potiental there is no point to argue, both kids have their full careers ahead of them, once that is over we can argue who was better in future years. We've seen this type of deal before, in that, Bergevin has had his hand forced to trade Chucky because of the coach not wanting him. That said I am a fan of Domi but Galchenyuk is a better scorer in a league where goals are the premium.
I should add that I hope Domi scores 25 or 30 next year and Weber plays a full year for the Habs, its been bad deal after bad deal for Bergevin

Domi could very well end up being a better player than Chucky in the future. That does not change the fact that Montreal could have and should have gotten more in return for Galchenyuk.
