If you look carefully there's a "V" somewhere in this logo. A subtle nod to the city in which they play.

If you look carefully, you'll notice that the penguin is holding a hockey stick. A subtle nod to the sport that the Pittsburgh Penguins play.

The creators of the logo wanted to be as subtle as possible when inserting the hockey stick, while still paying homage to the sport the Pittsburgh Penguins play.

But i've still noticed the hockey stick forever. It's not hidden.

If you look verrrry closely at this one, you can see that it says capitals, which represents the name of the team. Don’t feel bad if you can’t find it.

If you look closely at the logo, you can see Turner's tears.

After analyzing the logo closely for hours, I realized there's a Buffalo and a two sabres hence, Buffalo Sabres.

If you study closely Tampa Bay's logo you'll find something that vaguely resembles a lightning bolt. It's likely this was included intentionally to reflect the team's name.
