Hahahaha sorry, huge leafs fan and try not to let my bias dictate my trades but sometimes it goes too in favor of the other team haha. I updated now, is that better?

In the playoffs he only had 1 assist and was -4.
I would love Nylander to get moved for a more engaged player but we would also need to find a way to replace Nylander's 30+ annual goal production.
I do like that you took some of the salary from the forwards and spread it over the defense and goalies.</div></div>
Hahaha I'm a huge Leafs fan and I never want my bias to effect the trades - sometimes it goes the other way and it's too good of a trade for the other team. How's the updated trade looking? I think the idea with the Nylander trade is you free up cap for a goalie, add someone in Jeannot who has the potential to be a top 6 winger, has a lower cap and has grit and could hopefully gain some additional picks or prospects.

But I also don't see leafs even doing the trade first of all. I could see them trading for gibson or murrary but not helly because how expensive he can be</div></div>
Yes, I think you could take one prospect out of that Helly trade for sure. They could go for Gibson or Kuemper as long as the Jeannot trade happens. Do you think a Jeannot trade would make sense for the Leafs?

Couple insiders have been throwing the idea around - I don't think they mentioned Mik's rights either but I think he could be a fit with your team! Again, not sure what would need to be added on the Leafs end.

Dream Team I know some are unrealistic - Minny fans looking at you
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Welcome to CapFriendly!
As a newcomer, you're unaware of the thousands of discussions that have occurred over the Muzzin-to-Los-Angeles idea. Here are the basic points:
(1) No one can ever properly explain why Muzzin would waive his absolute NTC to leave home and play for a team with a lesser chance to win the Stanley Cup one more time before retirement.
(2) Muzzin's cap hit is a particularly bad inroad into Los Angeles' explicitly-expressed overall off-season strategy, which is to acquire a young #1LD with term; Muzzin is none of the three.
(3) At this point, Muzzin's on-ice value (without respect to Cap hit or retention), considering his last regular season and injury history, probably isn't a second-round pick when adjusted for risk.
(4) Los Angeles can probably re-sign Alex Edler, or acquire a similarly-talented free agent, who will be cheaper than Muzzin both in cap hit and cost to acquire (specifically, none) and provide the same level of performance.
Keep trying and don't be discouraged. The greater the venom expressed in contrary opinions, the less likely that the responder is to be right.</div></div>
Yo, thanks for the reply! So, I'm actually in the camp that believes that Muzzin won't be moved this year - it makes no sense given his situation. In all honesty, if the Leafs really wanted to clear some cap I'm sure they'd move him for next to, if not, nothing.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wildnochance</b></div><div>Not a chance Minnesota does this. Minnesota would still be able to get a mid to late 1st for dumba. So essence, you are offering a 1st round pick, a prospect who hasn't done anything, cap dump in Justin holl, Kerfoot and nothing. There's nothing you offer to have Minnesota trade away Marcus foligno. Dumba isn't a cap dump. Somehow Minnesota add two 2nd? Yeah so nothing but 1st and prospect</div></div>
Then only trade for Foligno and don't go after Dumba then? You can't really think that Billy G wouldn't say yes to a package that included Kerfoot, a 1st, Robertson and a 2nd for Foligno? What would it take to get just Foligno done then, in your mind?

Then scratch that and just sign Boosh or PK for free. Let's say no picks are involved - why would Vancouver say no to solid player they could sign for $2-3million for 2-4 years just to keep a 32 year old UFA?

He's offering
Nothing in Kerfoot

And would essentially be the same thing he's posted in past but this time he's treating dumba like nothing along with Minnesota two 2nd round picks for nothing but 1st round pick and prospect along with c prospect for Marcus foligno and dumba. Sorry, this us a bad offer for Minnesota</div></div>

Despite this, I think the only way I could see this happening would be if Minnesota gets very get very good offers on guys like Fiala, Dumba, Hartman, Greenway where Guerin feels like he can build a really competitive young team with all of the extra capital/prospects
Is there any chance of a trade based around Talbot and Robertson?</div></div>
I don't think there would be a trade around Talbot and Robertson - I think Dubas opt to test the UFA market instead. I'm a huge fan of Foligno, I really think the Leafs need someone like him on their second or third line. Talbot was added to the trade just anticipating that Minny is actually going to sign MAF and that they want to clear cap space (take $6.whatever million off the books instead of just Foligno's cap). What would it take to get Greenway?

No logic, really want him as a 7D and just through a package together which what I had. I’m assuming he wouldn’t cost too much so I just left it as is. What do you think he would cost?

And will continue to do so, so long as Foligno is there. We're not moving our starting goaltender on top of the player who is the beating heart and soul of our team for that little of a return.
It would cost a vast overpay for us to even consider it. One that would make it extremely and decidedly not worth it on Toronto's end.</div></div>
Ya, Foligno is going no where but a man can dream. The only way I’d figure it may work, considering the Wild are going to be in a cap bind, is if they signed MAF (there was reports of it) and they want to get rid of Talbot. In that case, if you take nearly $7million off the books, maybe you could get it done for an overpay (what else that would be, I’m not sure. Sandin and picks?)
