Avs get Kerfoot
Coming from someone who has watched Kerfoot play for the past couple of years at Harvard and seeing him play in person, he is not capable of stepping in and being an immediate 2C. I'm not being salty at all, but he'll take some time. His ceiling is a solid 2C, I like his game overall. He is a nice 3C right now behind Mackinnon/Duchene, and Jost. If anything Jost will take pressure of off Kerfoot by playing 2C. I feel that Jost will be the anchor of the Avs down the road.

He's played in the NHL for 11 seasons (2006-2017) and has played less than 80 games four times. Those seasons were 15, 48, and 74 twice. So really two back to back seasons where he played 15 games in '11-'12 and 48 in '12-'13. He probably made that always injured impression on you during that span. Generally a healthy, reliable, defensively responsible 0.5 ppg center.

Devils 2018-2019 3
As much as I think Boyle will be a great leader on this team I can't see Hall not being an alternate captain, especially with his contract coming up soon. The entire organization should look for any way possible to keep him in NJ for a long time. Could always have 3 A's too. I like the look of this team w/ the NJ native Carlson, Dahlin, and Butcher. Addition of Maatta could be nice as well. However I don't think JVR comes to NJ. Nice job though

Edited the Greene trade, looks more reasonable

Forgot to sign Sevo. No point in trading for Colborne. Looks fine other than that McNabb could be a very nice acquisition.

A Pastrnak trade that actually could work
Massive overpayment for Pasta. Atkinson may not be as offensively talented but he's not too far off. Plus adding Milano and Murray AND a first just throws it over the top.

Zacha has the potential to be a key top 6 forward for NJ, not sure Shero is looking to trade him. I know Maatta is solid defenseman, but unfortunately many viewers saw the worst of him in the playoffs.

NJ Devils-Thoughts?
Don't know much about Kylington, but Brouwer could be a short term patch for the right side which is a weakness for us currently. Does Kylington have top 4 potential? These next two drafts claim to be 3 to almost 4 rounds deep so I would need more info on Kylington to answer a trade like this.

Pasta to the Devils
Sevo is worth 4.5 on a long term deal. If Shero were to ever make a run at Pasta it'd be Henrique (retain some salary)+McLeod/Zacha+ a decent pick in this year's extremely deep draft

A Trade With the NJD
Nice looking deal, not sure if Shero is 100% on dealing Rico. Coming off of his worst statistical season of his career it is easy to find reasons for trading him. Once a 30 goal scorer, has shown he can be a solid 25G-25A-50P guy going forward. The retention isn't necessary, but NJ has the 2nd most cap in the league so we could absorb 1mil for two more years. Nonetheless due to NJ's barren d-core this looks like a solid deal.

That third line is a bullet! I think Q moves up a few games in though
Nice work
I just realized that having Boyle, helps Zajac with the PK</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Opie</b></div><div>Works for me. interested to see how Zacha would rise to the challenge .... the third line equal parts excitement & frustration all in the same shift I suspect.
It's hard to see that D again in black and white. Hell is upon us.</div></div>
Yea the D needs work. Will Butcher? I really don't know what else is up Shero's sleeve this offseason unless he pulls of one of his patented heists.

Lottery Pick and Big Free Agent Signing raises D and Brings Playoffs
Interesting idea, but Shero will not trade Schneider for one 1st round pick that'll be mid round. I'm also pretty sure CGY traded their 2018 1st in the Hamonic deal. However, let's not forget Cory was a top 5 goalie in 15-16 and had to play behind perhaps the worst d-core in the NHL in 16-17 after losing Larsson. AND if we trade Schneider we surely will have Rasmus Dahlin wrapped up with that scary youth in the net.

Very optimistic with Dahlin and Butcher, but I like it. I agree with bringing Carlson back home, proposed the idea a few weeks back on here and NJ fans loved the idea. Also bringing JVR home is a nice piece to the top 6. Nice job

Getting rid of long term contracts? Henrique has 2 years left, Hall has 3 and is our best player by a mile, but you keep Zajac who has the worst and longest contract of the 3..... hmmm. Good thing this is just for "fun"

More info? Would it take and what are you're objections?</div></div>
Not interested in Pouliot haven't heard many great things about his game, Kuhnhackl and Archibald wouldn't have a place in the lineup. Maatta is the only worthwhile piece, but I've heard/seen he has speed issues, regardless he is has value. Adding Santini in this trade put it over the top. He's a part of the future on the backend as a defensive defenseman. At the end of the day Henrique had a down year and I'm not sure Shero will trade him coming off of a 20-20-40 season.
