Pesce Possibility
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Robby35</b></div><div>Peasce isn’t a top 10 RD in the league, he is good defensively but don’t drive the play and has only got over 30 points once. No GM in league would swap a 23 year old Bouchard for Peasce.</div></div>
First of all, you cannot even spell Pesce correctly, secondly, yes... he is. Pesce is not one of the best offensive defensemen, but he is among the best defensively. He's capable of driving play, and his defensive underlying numbers are among the best in the entire NHL. He's easily a top 10 RD. If you cannot even spell his name correctly, I kind of doubt your takes on this player

Better than a Buyout
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>westleysnipez</b></div><div>This is less than Horvat got.

Beauvillier (current cap hit + level of play) = 2023 3rd
And reasonably so, too.
Since 2019-20
Horvat | C | 244 GP | 103 G | 95 A | 198 Pts |
Meier | RW | 252 GP | 97 G | 107 A | 204 Pts |
Horvat has put up near identical numbers (better goal total in fewer games) and plays the more important position. Horvat is worth more than Meier.</div></div>
Meier > Horvat.
Meier is younger, and teams are going to high value his size and grit. His QO is expensive but he's still an RFA. He has the clear edge.

Edmonton isn't trading their 2023 first for a mediocre, injury prone player who can't defend without relying heavily on cross-checking.

trading a pretty good prospect to "dump" a 40 point player at a position of weakness and get a player the Oilers don't need and bottom pair dman that was on waviers in exchange, no thanks

Depth lines
I like the idea of a foegele-nuge-Hyman line, nuge and Hyman have already shown chemistry and they’re all very solid defensively, could match up against most top sixes.

Hoffman is retained your pick will be among the 20th or 30 rank if you win yeah Holloway is a huge payment but the rest are gambling at best. Koskinen Turris are at best jersey filler. Allez (not Allan) is a better suited guy for your team and yes chiarot retained value is a freaking 1st cuz there is 10 teams out there .... Barrie is among so many AGM on your side I did take him because he can be somehow useful to us, you want a better trade, start discussing players not your sentimentality. Worst this, worst that, where are those offers, you jnow dealing right?</div></div>
I did read it, Hoffman is useless, you're asking for the equivalent of four 1st round picks from the Oilers, you need to stop proposing terrible trades.

On the surface not bad, but the problem is, which left shot d that the bruins have invested a significant amount of money in gets bumped out of the lineup. I think forbort or reilly would have to be in this move. I also just don’t think Dunn is what boston is missing.

the condition on the pick was that the coyotes get the worse pick between the habs and hurricanes (hurricanes pick)

Debrusk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Deaner37</b></div><div>For both teams to get more value. They need to retain. All the insiders believe Debrusk could go for a 2nd and a prospect, so 2 2nds To retain 1.6 mil for 1 year is worth it.</div></div>
I understand what you are proposing, and if both DeBrusk and Strome played well Holland would look like a wizard. However, it is difficult to envision Boston and Chicago making those deals. Turris's contract is easy enough to manage, and Lagesson and 2 x 2nd round picks might be fair value for a player similar to DeBrusk, but that package doesn't really fit with what Boston needs right now. Yamamoto might be a good fit for Chicago, and seemingly an overpay given the way Strome's season has gone so far. Perhaps that's why you have included the swap of draft picks. That deal only makes sense if the Oilers are able to bring in a top six forward to replace Yamamoto. So, the Chicago trade is predicated on the Boston trade, the ability of Hyman to be as effective at RW as he is at LW, and the ability of DeBrusk to perform at his best beside McDavid.

The proposed trade does clear cap space for the Bruins, but I'm not convinced it works well for either team.
