This is an EA NHL trade, and it might only work in NHL 13 since they improved the AI a little bit as the series progressed.

Why do the Wild have the leverage to get Stutzle?
1 - They do not have the cap to fit Fiala in long term. The Wild are dealing from a tremendous position of weakness.
2 - Fiala is an offer sheet candidate. A 1 year offer sheet could net a contender Fiala for a late 1st/2nd/3rd, and if the Wild match, they will not be able to trade Fiala for a year. The contender could still extend Fiala in January 2023, ala Carolina and Kotkaniemi.
3 - Any team that acquires Fiala will have to be able to fit him in at approximately 8 million. Not every team in the league can do this without making other sacrifices. Minnesota cannot take back long term cap to help with this. So they need to exclusively deal with teams who can take Fiala clean, dump cap elsewhere.
4 - Fiala will have to want to sign long term with whoever acquires him. Most teams won't want to give up A level pieces for a player who will sign for 1 year.

Stutzle is a 20 year old 1st liner with superstar potential. Since when do teams trade those kind of pieces for players who are close to UFA status and are forced off of other teams due to the salary cap? The Wild will get a nice return for Fiala, but if you're expecting Stutzle for a player 1 year away from free agency that Minnesota has to trade, you're way off.

Fiala only has one year of team control left. Arizona is not a desirable destination. I don't think he signs with a team who are deliberately tanking for the next few seasons.

Arizona is very obviously tanking. It is the most obvious tank job since Tim Murray ran the Sabres. Even if Fiala would sign a 7 year contract, I don't think they want to make their big additions yet. There are two possible franchise players at the top of the 2023 draft. If Arizona finishes last place, they have a very good chance at getting one of them.

wanna clarify now im a Bs fan.

-Fiala is definitely worth 6-7 mill per year

-The guy is a top tier 5v5 scorer this year 50 of his 61 points are from 5v5

-another thing is for the last few seasons fiala has been playing with 3rd liners... Kaprizov and Zuccarello have been winger partners since Kap entered the league and before kap Zucc played with parise or zucker.
Foligno and greenway have been wing partners for a few seasons centered by JEE
Fiala has been stuck playing with the lower tier guys on Minny since he came there and yet this guy has produced at a .85ppg rate imagine if he actually got 1st or 2nd line minutes like he deserves and had teammates similiar to his skill level i think he would easily put up ppg or higher numbers i do think fiala is very underrated he is also more then just a goal scorer he is a very solid playmaker and play driver too.

Personally i think Minny would be making a terrible mistake moving fiala i think even though zucc and kap have great chemistry they should move zucc, fiala and kap as a wing duo would easily be top 4-8 in the league offensively and if rossi becomes that #1 C for them they could end up having one of the most dangerous lines in the league a few years from now

i think LA would be making a huge mistake by not accepting that offer that trade is a steal and i can tell you now kaliyev most likely won't be a 30 goal scorer for another 2-4 seasons and when that time comes he probably will be done his bridge deal and will want upwards of 5+ mill if he is scoring 30 a season. Right now if LA wants to compete while Kopi and Doughty are still good they need another guaranteed top goal scorer because rn they are heavily relying on Kempe to score
