Not so much the fact in this case about him being from the area. I know that is the case for many other Bruins fans but I'm more so looking at who is available and who can play 3C.

Would take more than a 3rd for Heinen, Bruins would pay the 2 mil to match the offer sheet. Would have to be along the lines of Foegele or Kuokkanen and a pick.

Schenn did have 70 points last year, but he didn't break 47 points until his 5th year in the NHL. This is Heinen's second year and he put up 47 in his first season.
Its tough to make an argument comparing the point totals of one player today and point totals for the other player from the year before.
Zboril is an arbitrary name in this piece and could be Gryzleck, Vaakanainen or even Lauzon if the Bruins up the offer.
Once again, if the Blues were to get a better offer then they should take it. This is just what I can see the Bruins packaging.

He would be a good fit on the Blues. I just can't see the Bruins parting with a core member of their team and leaving the hole to be filled by the young players who have yet to develop their offensive upside. That's why I think Gryzleck would be a closer fit for a trade like this if that is what the Blues are searching for.

If I were the Blues I would probably want a 1st as well so if there is a better offer with a 1st I would take it. Can't see the Bruins giving up their 1st for a second year in a row though. i believe this would be the type of offer they would table.

I would be iffy with that one based on my personal preference. I believe Krug is very essential to the Bruins lineup while others may not think so. I would rather trade Gryzleck even though Krug carries a higher cap hit and will be a UFA next year. That's just my opinion.

If he hit everything that moved and dtropped the gloves i could see it. Not his game. Just taking up a roster spot.

Yeah I've been reading through a few of his tweets about the state of the team. Very similar perception about where the team stands as most of us have probably had the past few games. Strongly agree that they can't keep rolling Acciari and Wagner when the team is in dire need of scoring.
In regards to his recent analysis on Senyshyn, I can see a greater confidence in his game and looks like he's learning how to use his size and strength. The results may not be there just yet but if he's learning the right way to use his size and speed I think he could be a long range 3rd liner who can step up into the second line. Only time will tell. Would still like to see him get a one game stint.

You're right in the sense he had a bit of luck, what's sad is the fact that he could get on a breakaway is already better than half the Bruins lineup at the moment.

Fair enough, can't see all three being called up but a shakeup is in order. Can't keep playing with 3 lines that can only get to center ice and then not be able to chip the puck past the opposing D.

I think its worth a shot, there's no harm in trying it for one game. Could be a better option on the wing in top 6 with than having Heinen, Donato, Acciari, Nordstrom, Wagner, Backes who aren't fast enough to get up the ice and aren't strong enough to win board battles.
If he shows he's horrible then it was just one game and you send him down. Now is the time to give it a shot though.

Reacting to injuries with Karlsson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>I have heard of no time table on McAvoy. 0. No one knows with concussion issues.
Bergy is out 2 months. He won't be back earlier. It's an AC. he's 33 not 22 it's not going to heal fast.
2 months in Decenber January is basically the path. If you are in the tank by the end of January you are most likely done. There isn't enough time to make up. Especially in their division with TB and Toronto going to take up the first 2 spots.
That leaves 1 spot and 2 wild cards. If anything they will be fighting for a wild card spot when he comes back. Only because the Metro looks so bad this year. But that will probably turn around. There is too much talent there.</div></div>
McAvoy has been on the ice skating for a few days now so have to assume that he will be cleared within the next two weeks. Concussion is tough to tell but the fact he is skating means he's on the final steps towards returning.
It was released that Bergeron will be out 1+ months so yes it could be 2 months for a clavicle injury but Bergeron has always rehabbed quickly throughout his career so I would not be surprised if he is back for Jan. 1st.
TB and Toronto are obviously the top two spots but who's to say the Bruins won't be able to grab that 3rd or a wild card spot . Especially when we're looking at these injuries being what, a total of 20 games or so where they could easily still be over .500. and finish the last 41 games with Bergeron and Chara.

Reacting to injuries with Karlsson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>I don't know if this team can make the playoffs this year with the injuries. Lost their best center. Their two best defenders and frankly don't have the depth to stay afloat. They may need to make a trade if they want to stay in the hunt. It's hard losing a legit 1C for 2 months while you whole 1st pairing is also out.</div></div>
Bergeron is out 1-2 months so could be anywhere within that time frame. McAvoy and Carlo should be back within a week so the defense will be in better shape by next week.
You're right the injuries are a heavy blow but this team did exceptionally well last season when Bergeron was out of the lineup and substituted with Riley Nash. as well, Chara's diminished minutes this year lessen the blow compared to if this injury happened 2-3 years ago. The defense has held its own for the mean time and though there will be learning curves, it's very possible the Bruins can scrape by and bounce back by late December.

Bs-LA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Kings already have a lot of lefties that play on the right side. Fantenberg and Martinez are both left handed guys that play on the right. If they were going to trade a quality piece like Toffoli for a defenseman, it would be for a RHD. Between Brickley, Walker, MacDermid, and Clague, the Kings already have enough lefties in the farm system. They don't need another.
As the guy who made this trade proposal said, this trade would be made if the Kings keep sucking and go rebuild. If they do that, they're not going to want 22+ year old players. They're going to want draft picks and 18-20 year olds that will be in their prime when the Kings are ready to compete again. I'm sure Donato and Lauzon are potentially quality players, but they're not significantly younger than Toffoli and are only a few seasons removed from being UFAs. That's not what the Kings would target if they decided to trade Toffoli.
Finally, the Kings system suppresses scoring. There's a reason why players like Brian Boyle can't score with the Kings, then move to the East and put up double digit numbers. It's the same reason why when the Kings bring in players like Jeff Carter that scored 40g+ in the East, and can only manage 20-30g for the Kings. The Kings have only produced 4 players with 30g seasons since Terry Murray converted the Kings into the defense-first system that they've played since 2008. Those players are Anze Kopitar, Alexander Frolov, Jeff Carter, and Tyler Toffoli. Toffoli would be a 40g scorer on an Eastern conference team. Donato would be, at best, a 10-15g scorer on the Kings.
Bruins might pass on this deal, but so would the Kings.</div></div>
A rebuild doesn't necessarily mean a 6-7 year rebuild. Look at the Bruins who completed a rebuild on the fly while keeping most of their core in place. LA could still very well complete a rebuild with Kopitar and Doughty as the main pieces with younger guys like Kempe and Clague stepping in. 22-23 is the perfect age for a rebuild of such, meaning the players involved will be 24-26 and potentially coming close to their full development.
Not saying either team accepts but the logic you presented did not take every aspect of a rebuild into consideration.
