Drai offer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Droakner</b></div><div>That offer would also be enticing but would Buffalo do it is the real question</div></div>
A few BUF fans seemed amenable to it provided Drai would renew his contract.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nhl_oilers</b></div><div>Personally, I don’t mind your offer SupremeBone, but also something like Swayman, Carlo, Frederic, and picks for Draisaitl, Ceci, Skinner catches my eye too! It all depends on how you value guys. </div></div>
I guess I simply don't value Carlo and, depending on how much of the value of that trade you ascribe to him, Swayman the way you do. I believe a fair deal of what makes BOS' goalies look so good is that team's identity & structure and they wouldn't have that in EDM. If I'm trading Drai, I want to get distinctly younger while still filling the hole that'll open up at 2C.

Drai offer
Just to add from NSH's perspective, its definitely an interesting thought as it isn't something I had considered, but this is too much future for NSH to give up for a guy to attempt to win now. Drai would solve a lot of NSH's problems, but the overarching problem NSH faces is the team isn't in a win-now state. This year, if anything, was an overperformance of expectations. Forsberg had a career year (again somehow) and O'Rilley and Nyquist somehow went back to their prime for a season, and Josi put up a year worthy of Norris consideration (doubt he wins though). The odds of this happening again, let alone 2 or 3 more times is slim to none as all of those players will start next year at 30+.
If any goalie is getting moved from NSH it is going to be Saros. Additionally, Evangelista isn't going to be moved given how well he has done and how well he adapted to Brunette's system. Asking NSH to move Evangelista would be like asking TOR to move Knies. I also doubt NSH would be willing to move on from Molendyk as Molendyk is looking to be Josi's eventual replacement as he really stepped up his game in the WHL this year, despite being injured for a portion of it and I wouldn't be surprised if he plays in the AHL next year.
I did see mention of Wood as well, and I think it is too early for NSH to consider moving him, especially considering he is moving programs (UCONN to UND). This could do a lot for his development as well, and NSH would probably want to see how that goes before making a decision on him. That said, he is among the more expendable prospects NSH has as they have several other projected top 6 RW's in system (Kemell, Evangelista, Fink, and even Tomasino).

The only offers that I've seen that even remotely compel me to trade Drai are the ones from BUF involving Cozens, Savoie, and picks. This one doesn't really even come close for me.

Yeah, they would want you to take Askarov out of that. Without Askarov, I don’t like it at all, even with him, I don’t know. Draisaitl is a 100 point 1C.. Evangelista, and Novak are good, but I would think they are missing a piece or two, assuming he goes with an extension in place. Throw in another decent price like a Matthew Wood, or Tanner Molendyk and it’s closer imo. Goaltenders values are also hard to gauge too.. you definitely gave me something to think about.. good job!

Hronek wasn’t that good against Nashville so he could be taken out along with Nurse

If it’s based on how they played in round 1 then Zadorov and Myers should be in the top 6. Both were great for the Canucks against Nashville (and even overall I’d take them over Desharnais and Nurse tbh)
Also I agree with what you said about both fanbases. Twitter has been so toxic between Canucks and Oilers fans

I think they will have to go higher on Desharnais. He can get more on the market for his size age and play.
Why do you have Wanner over Akey?
Absolutely loved ve your analysis. Brilliant work. Otherwise completely agree.

Trade for Draisatl
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Droakner</b></div><div>they will have enough, if they don't they will make room asuming the cap goes up to 90M+
that year they will have Kane on his final year along with Kulak and Ekholm they will have the room
though if the Oilers were going to consider this as a possibility for the Flyers IMO it would start with York, Konecny, Multiple 1sts if not then Michkov</div></div>
You know Drai wouldn’t get that and you know it lol. Nobody is paying that for a dude who will be a free agent even with an extension. You would think the Oilers of all teams would realize the Leafs way of doing things doesn’t work. Sure you could re-sign Drai and McDavid to enormous contracts and have give them nothing else to work with and then you will just become the Leafs 2.0

As a Kings fan I'd personally take Moore over Fiala, considering the former is one of the best penalty killers on the team and the latter doesn't even know where the defensive zone is.

Gibson has just plain not been good these last few years, weather that's because of the ducks in a rebuild or if he is just regressing I don't know, all I know is that we don't want him, we have Skinner
frankly the signings are okay, personally not a fan of Cousins and want nothing to do with him and his play
and that Nurse buyout is sure something</div></div>
Honestly watching gentzul this season shows he doesnt need crosby and is the best fa available with hyman turning into a beast infront of the net another star playmaker would fill out that top 6 and just get a checking grinder bottom 6.
Cousins is a nasty player but imagine him and perry same line all season just gross for the ops.
Nurse is solid top 4 dmen but at that cap id rather give that money to a better impact forward.
I also understands this kinda ****s up the d but who can u get for better contracts then a solid top 6 dmen in savard who blocks shots kills penalties a good vet cup winning leader. And zadorov i just took the big checking type of dmen maybe theres a better shutdown option.
Ifnt giby is vatrano still a good top 6 option, might me a new hyman for a playmake like rnh and dri.
Pickard also proved to be a good fringe backup this year might of over stepped.

I doubt the Hawks would spend draft capital on a LD that can sometimes play the right side. They'll look for a RD in free agency or use Kaiser/Crevier on the right side if necessary. Not saying Kulak is bad, just that he's a bad fit for the team.

1. I think your assessment on those two is spot on.
3. Im not sure if Ceci will be dealt, but since Broberg will be 3rd pair LD, it makes great sense to move Kulak and save roughly $2 million.
7. Who knows if Perry will either retire or look for a big 1 year deal like his one in CHI. He very well may do either, but having him back for around $1 million or less would be ideal. Holloway, McLeod, and Perry could be a very cheap and pretty effective 3rd line. I could see Brown coming back for about the same, but I can also see him wanting a fresh start. Carrick and Janmark will likely try to get as much as they can on the UFA market. Gagner could be a useful body if he keeps playing. I’d pass on Erne.
I think Lavoie could very well make the team out of camp, and Hamblin can be cheap, useful energy too, even if he’s just the 13th forward rotating in.

There’s almost zero change we move LT. The cap hit is too crucial to move forward.
Maybe Roy gets moved (I don’t think he’s the odd man out because of his ability to play up and down the lineup)

You've accounted for the overages twice, it was updated recently so you dont need to create it anymore just as an FYI.
1. Yes, but for less money; 800K and 850K IMO.
2. Debrusk is my top hope by a mile, 2-way player who can score would be amazing alongside Drai.
3. I'd like to move both, but rather Kulak moved over Ceci. Would hope for a 2-way puck mover to play alongside Nurse who has good skating abilities.
5. I assume you mean for rookies, to me only Broberg and Holloway are, rest are fair game.
6. Keep him, this was his worst season and he still did fine. No way he's waving at this point either.
7. Carrick and Janmark are my #1 and #2, I think Perry/Gagner may retire and I dont think Brown would make our lineup anyways (if he signs league min tho it's w.e).

Foegele, Cozens, Tuch and Greenway are Lindy type players and could very easily round out the top six forwards.
Skinner will follow Geoff Sanderson to the fourth line playing 8 minutes a game.

I get it, player values tend to vary fan to fan on this site. But Zegras is younger, cheaper and out produces Necas. Both aren't good defensively but Zegras has more potential so I give him the lead in trade value

From a Canes fan, you're overpaying for Pesce. I think he's been a great player for many years but at his age I think 7.1 is way too much but at least the term is good. If it's paying more for less term then maybe but still seems a bit high.
Would also strongly consider the Zegras deal for Carolina. I don't disagree that there would be a slight nod in value towards Zegras, I think they're close enough that I'd take the younger/cheaper player.
