Zegras has more trade value then Necas so I don't know why they're including the better pick

From a Canes fan, you're overpaying for Pesce. I think he's been a great player for many years but at his age I think 7.1 is way too much but at least the term is good. If it's paying more for less term then maybe but still seems a bit high.

Would also strongly consider the Zegras deal for Carolina. I don't disagree that there would be a slight nod in value towards Zegras, I think they're close enough that I'd take the younger/cheaper player.

didn't know how much both teams would value both players, have seen Canes AGM's value him at Multiple 1sts and prospects (similar if not more to the Gentzel trade) and have seen ducks fans value Zegras quite low and high. so didn't really know who had the better advantage

I would agree that I overpayed Pesce by maybe 1M but have a feeling that it will take that much to get him to go to the Ducks

Ducks aren’t moving Zegras it’s as simple as that.

Seravalli started that whole garbage rumor without even considering some of the quotes that Greg Cronin and Pat Verbeek have outspokenly said about Zegras.

Necas could be a very very good fit for Anaheim, but it’s NOT at the cost to Trevor Zegras.

I get it, player values tend to vary fan to fan on this site. But Zegras is younger, cheaper and out produces Necas. Both aren't good defensively but Zegras has more potential so I give him the lead in trade value

Zegras is the far superior player, both on the eye test and advanced stats, we wouldn't trade him for Necas full stop.

Would prefer to just swing for the fences on one of the elite RWs about to hit the market. We have the cap space, but losing Z is a huge blow (see our record this season before/after he returned from injury, despite losing some key players at the deadline).

I’m cool to overpay Pesce to lure him here on a shorter term deal as well

I think you completely forgot Zellweger though. He looks fantastic, definitely earned a full time spot in ANA next year

I’d try more like 4 x $6,500,000 for Peace I think but I’d throw closer to 8 aav is if wants to take 2 years

Necas is a no thank you for me, guy is sort of like Dubois to me in the sense he will cost to much to trade for and then to resign which both won’t match his production — I’m keeping Z over him all day

No, you haven't seen Ducks fans value Zegras low, that has been from outside fans. He's close to untouchable as far as we're concerned, it would take an elite talent to get him.

Necas isn't elite, he's a decent/good top 6 player.
