Ya, probably. Stranger things have happened! It could end poorly or... They could win the cup because they have one of the best goaltenders of his generation to go along with that sexy D-corps!

Maybe! Goalies are voodoo. He may never get there. Imagine him being tutored by one of the best goalies of a generation. No pressure on him for several years. ELC keeps the cost of the goalie room reasonable as the cap goes up!

I think it costs WAY more for San Jose to eat 23 million of EK's salary over the next four years. Yikes.

Lol, revered is a massive stretch! carried by Thrashers? At least he was smart enough to retain Buff and Wheeler at the height of their abilities. Who else? Enstrom, EK9, please.
My guy I am not Chevys biggest supporter and I have disagreed with many of his moves and at times lack thereof, but to suggest he is in over his head is inaccurate. It must be difficult to be so cynical all the time.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Howie</b></div><div>It's just not a good thing to run into these season with both probably wanting to cash in on major paydays based on what deals they have been on. Even if the jets do good we lose them for nothing and that can have a butterfly effect that ripples years just based on what we could have done. As much as I want them to be jets for life it's not ideal to keep them or lose them for Nothing I'm fine running into the season with one of them but not both. The jets won't full sell at the deadline like you think (2021 as an example copp traded but bought as well) it just can't be losing them for nothing that is a doomsday scenario.</div></div>
Maybe, i think the Jets are the only team that would consider giving 37 9 million. Scheifele is a deadline deal unless you can get a very good return. you gain the cap space for next season. And it makes way for younger players as you have expressed is important. And I agree! There are lots of good players in the organization. I was very pessimistic a few weeks ago. I’m still cautious but I like the overall feel of this group. With a Bowness defense system and buy in from everyone. 55 has to get on board in a contract year or he doesn’t get what he hopes. No Wheeler will be empowering. I am optimistic about the roster as it is. Maybe a Brett Pesce away!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Howie</b></div><div>I only made it a 2025 first with nj as there are conditions on the 2024 first which you would know if you looked at it. Nj may have to trade that 2024 first to sj if they make the conference finals and with helle that could possibly happen so it shifts to 2025. I made the boston 1st 2026 and they don't have a 2024 one and probably don't want 3 years in a row with no first round pick. Just because the picks are later doesn't change that they should rebuild. Would you rather a 2024 2nd or wait for a 2026 1st. I'm taking the first all day and doesn't change that they try and stay competitive genius</div></div>
I’d rather keep the players and take a run in a weaker than normal Central and add at the deadline or if it goes south move 55 and 37 and Dillon and Nino, we’ll I might we sign Nino! I feel you would get a better return at that point.

You missed the point of this agm completely as to get value for the ufas get players to replace them but still try and compete but with 2 extra 1st and a good rhd prospect. Jets can't lose 55 or 37 for nothing that's the most Important aspect and with you saying "just run it back and deal with it at the deadline." If they jets are competitive we won't trade them and lose them. If we're out we're forced to trade them at the mercy of the deadline which may be less than today depending on their season. The jets have 6 dman not including stanley capo chisholm Heinola. If capo is the 7th dman which is likely heinola in the ahl for another season is a waste as you're essentially telling him "we don't believe in you" so trade him or trade Dillon so you can play heinola as a regular but something has to be done. We're not trading Morrissey, Samberg demelo schmidt or pionk so who's left DILLON. ufas don't sign with the jets so dumba is a no go. I seriously don't understand what's so hard about grasping the jets defense situation.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Howie</b></div><div>Jets are the last team that can afford to lose their players for nothing and keeping them to the deadline we wouldn't trade them then. Stans not worth a 2nd lol. We can't trade pionk as we only have 2 right shot d so Dillon or schmidt need to go but schmidt will cost assets to trade. As good as Dillon is he isn't a fit for the long term of the team and getting older. Heinola should be traded if he isn't getting a role with the team( why place him in the ahl again) jets can't sign ufas either so trading 55 and 37 allows to get players like vanecek who is a good goalie on a good contract. We can't sign a decent starter as they won't come here. You're a bit too optimistic on this and should be definitely on board with trading one of 37 or 55</div></div>
You missed my point, if the jets make these deal then they might as well full rebuild. Take a run this year with their group and see what happens. Or move them at the deadline for better packages than these.
I believe e jets could get a mid- late second for Stanley. Agree to disagre lol. Why do the jets need to move Dillon?
I suggested signing a different RHD in Dumba.
I feel like you might be buying the rhetoric from media types too much. And you seem to be pretty optimistic Vilardi can be a #1C. LOL!

I dunno know about this Howie, Jets don’t need more wingers, would almost prefer to keep Scheifele. Better chance at success this season. Same goes for Hellebuyck, keep him as a team rental if that’s the best packages offered. Use the cap space to sign a UFA goalie / C next off season.
The picks are nice but they are SO FAR in the future it would warrant the org trade off everybody (KFC, Nikki etc.) and go full rebuild.
Is Nick Robertson any good? I am skeptical. I’d rather not add the contracts as Jets are already at 42 before signing Barron, Kupari, Chisholm and Vilardi. Just give me a 2nd for Stanley or use him as a sweetener in another deal for a top 6 C if your intent on moving Scheifele.
Dillon is a good fit in Winnipeg I think he has greater value on the team. I think there could be a decent market for Pionk as a right shot pick mover who has flashed and is only 26. I think I’d look to move his salary out to a team looking for a pp qb. Sign Matt Dumba maybe?
Don’t give up on Ville just yet, would be selling low and he’s only 22. ✌️
