Description

The reports he is looking for 8 x 9 are largely due to posturing by his agent. Of course he wants 100million. So do I! The market has made it clear this is not happening for him.
Many will say he wont sign in Buffalo but with Dahlin, Power, Thompson, Cousins etc on the roster and Savoie, Kurlich on the way... this team is poised to have a legit chance for a number of years to come and IMO checks the boxes he wants checked. Plus he gets to play with his good buddy Eric Corie again!

Can't see anyone giving up this much for a goalie. Pick one of the prospects not both.

I feel like bringing in Hellebuyck doesn't make sense when you have Levi unless you want him to marinate a bit in the A. But I feel like he's ready for the NHL

I seriously doubt that CH has much interest in Buffalo, He's looking at the Devils long term. Much closer to contending for the cup than Buffalo currently is.

You are probably correct. I did address this concern in my description. I will add he's an AVID outdoorsman from Michigan and western New York could provide a very appealing playground for him!

Maybe! Goalies are voodoo. He may never get there. Imagine him being tutored by one of the best goalies of a generation. No pressure on him for several years. ELC keeps the cost of the goalie room reasonable as the cap goes up!

Personally I'd rather keep Gus and send them Barron if they want an extra piece coming back, a 1st and Krebs would be a great return, cant see them getting any better then that for Hellebuyck.

Krebs is the piece to take out, not Rosen
Also, Sabres aren’t gonna sign him to a 6year extension

They’d be looking at more like a 3year extension,
which likely doesn’t work for Hellebuyck

So this trade is very unlikely to happen imo
