Thread: 2017-18 GM Game - News and Important Info Thread
General Mangers and Assistant General Managers,

Due to rising concerns within the GM Game community, the BOE is discussing a possible shutdown from Sunday, October 22 - Wednesday, October 25.

During that time, the BOE will be recruiting replacement GMs to fill the roles of those recently removed from their position. In the next few days, we ask that GMs please spend some time thinking about users who would be good fits within the culture and context of the GM Game.

Please note that as compensation for this sudden implementation (if necessary), the BOE will talk about allowing five trades to be made in the month of November, if GMs qualify. Any GM that posts in the GM Game during the lockdown is subject to significant draft pick forfeiture.

We appreciate your acceptance of this lockdown in advance, if necessary.

This is a good way for you to "prove yourself", if you are given a meh team and turn it into a great team then you have proven yourself. The BOE wont give a decent team that still has all of its original players to somebody who has done <strong>NOTHING BUT COMPLAIN</strong> since joining. Personally I dont mind you but if ypu feel entitled to a team just because you dont like the team you have right now then you should just leave because you arent getting a new one.

100% agreed. Trades like Tavares, Luongo, Gunnarson should not have been made. Even my Duchene trade should have been reversed. Tavares would never get traded this early in. Anahiem's trades are ridicoulosy bad. I dont complain much but I view the trade aspect of the game as a failure so far. And thats on the BOE to correct it. If they let it slip, the whole game slips and the market crashes and becomes a short term game rather than what it was supposed to be, a long term one.</div></div>

Agreed and I know all the guys that did make the trades would be pissed and so would I but for the sake of the GM game 17-18 season not unraveling like V1, things need to be corrected now while the game is still fresh and hasn't had too many changes happen.

Any trades rated "1" should be an automatic standard for reversal. Otherwise whats the point in rating them? Not even Taboo could have made a -1 trade.</div></div>

Exactly... whats the point of having a trade rated 1? Like maybe once and thats fine but twice?

Ok well now the new NYI GM has to deal with an already bad islanders team that was dismantled completely already. Yeah it sucks for those who made those trades already but guess what ,the whole point of V2 was to not follow the same path as V1 and the early trades in this game have done that.... honestly revert all bad trades or don't revert any of them but frankly a team taking on NYI is not only without there superstar but without many of there prospects too.
