Edmonton declines, too much to give up for Drouin especially with the uncertainty surrounding him.

Oilers fans what do u think
Love the Dallas trade, don't like the Leafs one.
I've made a similar trade with Dallas myself on capfriendly and I do believe its perfect for the Oilers and actually makes sense for the Stars.
The Leafs one is bad for us and doesn't make sense for Toronto who needs to simply clear cap to resign Sandin and Engvall, Puljujarvis arbitration is likely gonna rule him worth 3-3.5 million which the leafs cant really afford even after getting rid of Muzzin.

My man, how did you make our team worse xD
Yamo and JP r both gonna get 3 or higher from arbitration.
Arizona probably declines honestly.

thats the minimum we can give him, it's possible an arbitrator rules he's worth 3 million. If he were to be signed for 1.4 million you think there would be little interest for him on the market?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stuey4Vezina</b></div><div>I'd personally go long-term on McLeod. Trust me- He's gonna ask more 2 years from now</div></div>
I personally would as well but I dont think McLeods camp wants that haha :)
We all realize his potential under Woodcroft as does he, I think he is probably looking for a bridge knowing he can make more than 2 million in 2 years. We as fans have to recognize that it isn't super appealing for a promising young forward that he has basically no chance to ever crack our top 6 or 1st line PP. I'm suspecting a bridge deal and eventually we just cant afford him and have to trade his rights :/
If Ken Holland wants to pull another masterclass this offseason and sign him long term on that kind of deal though then :D

I really like the hakanpaa trade although i suspect we might be the ones needing to give up the pick</div></div>
Ye I was thinking Strome could go for even 3 mil, reports are right now that he is just looking for the right fit which I think is likely Edmonton or Toronto. I just wanted to be fair because if you look at his stats he actually had a good season. If he wasn't considered a "reclamation" project I think he wouldve been offered 4x4 by now from some team.

I think you're undervaluing how much our RFA's are going to ask for. They had pretty solid seasons. My guess is:
Yamo- 3x3 or 3x3.25
JP- 1x2.5
McLeod - 2x1.5
I also don't think Seattle would make that trade after signing Shultz (a right handed OFD)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>emoprettyboy</b></div><div>where are those reports that the Sens wanted to trade Zub because I can guarantee you, they are not real. Sens aren't moving Zub</div></div>
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/frank-seravalli-trade-deadline-war-room-atlantic-division-objectives/
Seravelli tossed his name around at the deadline. Nothing was concrete just rumors, I understand that Sens fans feel the same way about Zub that Oilers fans do with Puljujarvi, we love them :) . But the management teams are looking at pieces and if the Sens can get a player like Puljujarvi on a good contract that is seriously valuable to them. At the end of the day what you're giving up in return is 2 guys on expiring UFA deals. Ottawa has already made big leaps forward this year but you are not a cup contender just yet. This is multiple comments now about Zub so I'll take your word for it, you guys know your own team better than I do. I doubt the Oilers would be able to afford resigning him anyway.

Trying to be realistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Orionus</b></div><div>Hawks have Delia + Subban + Soderblom, we're not giving up assets for Koskinen.</div></div>
Subban I think is an ok backup, Delia not so much, not sure if Soderblom is ready yet. Either way thats fair if you don't want him, he would be an improvement in net for you though, which team do you think would take him? I'm also getting the sense that nobody wants to give even a 4th for Koskinen, so would u still decline if it was Koskinen 50% retained for Future Considerations?

True a lot of decent goalies on the market, most teams would probably take Bernier or Greiss over Koskinen.

Oof thats fair, Krejci had a great year and so did Martinez which is why I wanted to go for them. I think my estimates were a bit low and yours are a bit high though, with the flat cap who knows. Remember both are aging and I offered them 2 year deals.

Perhaps thats true, but he's only 1 year removed from having a .917 SV% through nearly 40 games. Us Oiler fans love to complain about him, but it's not as if his career is over, he is still a serviceable goaltender. Once Smith got back this year Koskinen had a >.920 SV% in a mixed backup/tandem role, which is probably what he would have if he shared the net with Lankinen. Getting a 3rd round pick for him is optimistic, but Koskinen at 50% retained doesn't have negative value in my eyes.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>All of the players you've mentioned seem like excellent targets to me, and as for money figures, who knows? None of your amounts seems foolish.
Personally, I don't see Krejci signing there, but he's certainly a proper target.
My only question is this: if you assume that Klefbom won't return, then won't you be protecting *Ethan Bear in the expansion draft?
*Ooops -- I meant Caleb Jones.</div></div>
Ah ye your right thats what I should've done with my assumption, but I'm trying to mimic management, Caleb Jones was scratched for most of this year and the entire playoffs, Dave Tippett quite clearly isn't a fan of him for some reason and it already feels like he's gone. Klefbom had successful surgery but he's mentioned in many interviews he is going to put his quality of life above hockey because obviously, it doesn't sound very optimistic though. Difficult situation, hopefully more positive news will be revealed about Klefbom before the Expansion Draft or who knows... maybe more negative news, both would make the choice easier. Would be really tough to let Klef go though, but if we would have to keep Kassian then we can't sign Martinez and Caleb Jones certainly helps that left side, a lot to think about with that one. If Klefbom was available for Seattle to take do you think they even take the risk? Looking at other options from Edmonton I think I would.

Fair enough, Rangers lack of grit has been put on full display and Elliotte Frediman mentioned something similar to this in his 31 thoughts I believe, might've been from somewhere else but thats where I came up with that. Looking back at the 4th is too high for Kassians pretty bad contract, but he can be a decent little player, kind of needs a change of scenery though. Maybe a 5th or 6th instead? Or do you think it's gotten to the point where Kassian has negative value and we would need to give up a 4th to free up the cap?

I mean you guys got tons of cap space I don't think you would mind taking on Turris 1.65mil for 1 year for a pick in a deep draft. Some Oiler fans think they can get value back for Turris but thats crazy unrealistic to me, highest the org would go to offload Turris is probably a 5th.
