lol, of course you would. That'll cost you at minimum Savoie, and probably more since 1RD > small center

Me too, although like ljseinfeld posted, it might be a tad early. That said, if you believe that Mitts is mid-six forward with a baseline production of 15-20 goals and 50-55 points (which I do,) $4.5M for that kind of production is solid right now and will be a bargain when the cap goes up.

Move on from Jost and move Krebs to the fourth line and there's one spot. For me it'll be just one of Savoie or Kulich with the latter getting one more season in Rochester and the former starting his pro career in Buffalo.

Personally, I think the Sabres are a great option for Kane. Hometown kid, could lead the Sabres into the playoffs.....and hopefully more in the two or three years of his NHL playing deal.
But cap is previous. About 6m X 3 would be the max.</div></div>
3 x 6 maybe, but I'd pass, he would just be blocking a spot that Kulich or Rosen could take.

Well my friend <a href="/users/swinny" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@swinny</a> there is a lot to like about this post, great job.
Buffalo may sign Girgensons and Okposo while putting Olofsson on that line, it worked really well the last two games of the season.
Or maybe the Rangers try to cut their cap and trade Barclay Goodrow to the Sabres?
We will see what happens next year but Mittelstadt had 15 pts over the last 10 games centering Tuch and Skinner.
We completely agree Petry would be a good addition, but not for anything of great value.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JoeROFLCOPTER</b></div><div>My brother you can probably get Petry for free <strong>without retention, even a sweetner may be in order.</strong></div></div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChychrunIsASen</b></div><div>I like the idea but I think they should sign a more experienced goaltender <strong>(keep Anderson on the payroll and Comrie would be the third GK)</strong> and have one of Levi or UPL develop in the minors and acquire a younger defenseman rather than Petry. Rosen can be moved but for an older defenseman when Buffalo is not too close to Cup contention isn't ideal <strong>I completetly agree, Rosen is a 20 yo 14th OA playing among men in the AHL, who be NHL ready in two years when he adds some muscles.</strong></div></div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tjm220</b></div><div>Pittsburgh will be doing <strong>backflips</strong> if they can get rid of Jeff Petry without retention, never mind getting a prospect like Rosen. <strong>The deal should be Bryson for Petry with at least $2 million retained.</strong></div></div> There are many UFA younger defencemen available this year who could be signed for less than Petry and still upgrade Buffalo's defensive corps and Buffalo would still have Rosen.

He could slot in nicely in the 3rd line in 2 years, that's if he doesn't out play his way out of buffalo (cap hit)
Next year should be really fun. Bot sure why teams think we are going to take their garbage without compensation

Tage thompsom took 813 faceoffs, Jeff Skinner took 298. You know this stuff can be looked up right?
You also realize Tage often times does not take faceoffs in the offensive zone on the left dot because he is set up shoot from the top of the dot right? On the power play too

Why do we need a 6 million dollar 3rd pairing defensemen?
Stillman and Lyubushkin are fine.
Our 3rd pair plays like 11 mins a night
Moving Tage back to wing is about the worst idea I've ever seen

But… I think Petry still has good hockey and think it would be a decent 1v1 trade</div></div>
Petry would be OK, but not for Olofsson.
Dumba, Orlov, Mayfield, Clifton, Gudas and more would all be an upgrade over Bryson and Buffalo would still have Olofsson's 28 goals.
Buffalo does not need to target a specific UFA Dman, just one who is better than Bryson.
It was surprising that it was game 81 that Granato finally put Olofsson on the fourth line.
Girgensons and Okposo would erase nearly any defensive liabilities of Olofsson and Victor would still find open spaces to score goals.
BTW, Jokiharju and Samuelsson are only 23, Chara was -27 at 25 yo, they will be better in two years.
Power is only 20 and he will get better next year.
Buffalo only needs an upgrade of Bryson.

Besides that there isn't a single piece TB cares about . Ohlund at 5'10" 164lbs yeah TB doesn't do runt defenseman dudes a runt. and 6 k TB isn't paying that much to a backup 900k or less. What does TB have to do to prove to people they don't give a rats a$$ about picks

Threw up a bit seeing both Okposo and Girgensons back especially for that long. Valarmov is a good get but maybe a year to long and about a mill and a half of on Avv. Like the Niko signing, wouldn't bother with Harmonic. And a lot to give up for 2yrs of Ekblad

Stanley Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gretzkyghosts</b></div><div>Clearly they would reject all but the Wings trade.
Skinner for Jones one for one is very fair. The Hawks get a player who is aging very well with back to back career best pts.
Jost for Sisson one for one. Jost over 82 games would have 10 go and 30 pts v Sisson 12 go and 30 pts. Jost is younger and less expensive.
Buffalo would still probably not make the trades as they are very happy with Skinner and Jost.
The Detroit trade is fine, but NO to the balance of the trades even to the modified trades suggested above.
NHLLGRW your profile suggests that you do not favor a particular team, but these are all aweful for the Sabres.</div></div>
