Raymond and Seider extensions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Yeah Raymond's price has probably increased with how he's played down the stretch.
Raymond was already having his best season but it's like he's trying to will his team to the playoffs
himself.
He's definitely taken his game to another level which has been great to see.
Would you still rather have Timmy Stutzle, Red Wings fans? 😉</div></div>
I probably would take Stutzle over raymond just because he plays center and this team outside of Larkin in center is not good. I like Compher, but he aint no 2c

Price for Walman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>We still need someone to play with Seider. Maybe next season we explore this
But I would hope a first. Would love to get one more first in the teens in this draft. Who knows though.</div></div>
I feel like simon and chiarot can interchange on the top pair. Walman does not look well in the top pair IMO, but i will agree he is the best option i suppose.

Both pens and wings say no. idt theres any team willing to take a flyer on Husso with his injury history last 2 seasons and wings are in no need to move copp and take on another bad contract for longer with a 2nd attached to all this

Apparently Stamkos does not play center and has not in a few years. Putting him on the wing is just as good though IMO

He's getting old & regressing a bit but he's a 0.55 point per game player this season. He's got grit to his game & was the one guy who got fed up that the Wings captain keeps getting targeted.
The crosscheck to the head of the wrong guy was stupid but at least he tried to stand up for the best player on the team. If the Wings don't give him 2.5 another team will.</div></div>
Bruh acting like 2.5m is a lot of money for a half ppg player that can forecheck, applies grit, veteran leadership on and off the ice, protects the puck better than most NHLers and only on a 1yr deal

i like signing monahan but not for that long. youre probably buying out one of petry or holl and youll probs have to give up to move holl. I dont believe steve and lalonde would put kasper and mazur on the 4th line.

Wings certainly are not doing this roster lineup and sending a 1st just to shed cap for next year. Essentially, this is a downgrade from this seasons roster.

Wings without adding new UFAs or trades made
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>I could definitely see him trying that route but I feel, with the way they keep improving, they should try to lock up to long term deals. I feel 7.7 for Raymond and 8.7 for Seider would be reasonable.</div></div>
I agree they should try and get them on 7-8yr deals, but if you want to improve this team next season and moving forward, they have to move a player or two via buyout or trade. Ik this goes against some wings fans, but I would 100% start hearing what other orgs would trade to get jake walman. Yes he scores some clutch goals, but he is not a top pair dman, does not tie up players well on the pk, and same with Hronek you want to trade him before he asks for a ridiculous contract and you get something in return outside of what hes done for the org on and off the ice. Then of course you have Petry, Holl, Fabbri, and Husso to name some. Out of all these names, Walman would get the highest return possible outside of cap. This would create room for Edvinsson, Chiarot and Seider top pair seems to be working for now, and the team has gone back2back wins without him in the lineup, and i believe theyve lost only once with walman out of the lineup.
Long rant story short, if we want this team to improve, and sign seider and raymond to those long term high dollar contracts, you gotta move some pieces one way or the other.

Agreed! At first when i saw the trade I was like "oh we just move back in the draft, okay i can deal with that" then I saw MTL flips him for carrier with no retention or anything additional? this would make no sense for the wings
