Major mooves to win
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Flyerforlife</b></div><div>i need to start this by saying that yea Puli for Laughton is a big overpayment. However, I think Laughton would be such a good addition for the oilers. A guy who can play all 3 positions, can play up and down the lineup. plays physical, sticks up for teamates.</div></div>
Sorry i phrased that badly, I would like to have laughton on the oilers but not for the price of puli+

This team will be the death of me
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lightman13</b></div><div>I think you’d need to add a 2nd to that wild deal.</div></div>
Sanhiem negates a lot of Dumba's value with his own, which offsets the need for any additional picks. Sanhiem is pretty much just a slightly younger Brodin with much the same ceiling as him as well.
We'd still be forced to go 4×4-1 in the expansion draft because he's that good, but getting Frost on top of it is literally the cherry on top.
Future top 6 as soon as next year of...
Brodin-Spurgeon
Sanhiem-Addison
Suter-Soucy/Cole
I'm getting literal chills just thinking about it. This is a hella good return for Dumba even sans the 1st or 2nd round picks.
I'd do this in a heartbeat!

Trade away Ghost, Gus, and keep Hagg for 7th dman. Risto is bad defensively sometimes, but he has that physicality that the team needs and naturally plays the right side.</div></div>
Yea risto's advance numbers really scare me. And he still has term aswell so would have to be protected/ Seattle takes him for free

Flyers Fans What move do you want to see Fletcher make at the deadline
Defense is the priority I think they'll try and see if Hjalmarsson is intrested in leaving Arizona which I don't think he will because of his kids being in Arizona but I think David Savard is a real possibility for them to go out and get with cap space being so tight I'm sure that would be the only move they will be able to make but I would love for them to add a shoot first guy to play anywhere in the line up Farabee is staring to just let it go but there are too many guys on this team who look to pass

Maybe acquire a rental one, who's turning UFA next summer. Hjalmarsson for instance. Wouldn't have an effect on the expansion draft.

Trying to fit Hamilton
I know it is early but JVR and ghost have been playing great so far. Seattle would gladly take either. JVR is leading the team in scoring and ghost is playing with Provorov. That being said this team needs two things... Hamilton and toughness. At least we solve one

Not the main point of your post, but I'd re-sign Elliott over Dubnyk.

Long time Sharks fan here. If Braun can get back to how he was before last season then you guys got a really reliable defensive defenseman for at least a season. Even last year after his injury he started to play a bit better at the end and pretty well in the playoffs before a couple cheap shots from STL players to the head. He also took a head shot in the Vegas series. He’s a great PK’er as well. Sharks will miss Braun.

Hayes It Is
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cmaenza28</b></div><div>I don't not like the acquisition. I think he is a good fit and they needed 2C. I just wonder if we go Vet heavy this offseason acquiring or signing guys with 4,5 or 6 year terms, what is the point of having great prospects waiting in line? Morgan Frost and Farabee and Ratcliffe can't all play in the AHL for the next 6 years, and they're not playing 4th line minutes in the NHL. So I just think the more bodies come in long term from outside, the more the writing is on the wall for dealing somebody like Konecny, Voracek, JVR, who knows. They've gotta make room for these guys at some point</div></div>
There's no such thing as having to many good players though. Right now the Flyers don't have the quality to compete hard. Presuming we actually sign Hayes it really strengthens a lot down the middle. Giroux can play wrong permanently and that's a big win. If Frost, Farabee, and Ratcliffe show they are good enough they'll get time. Injuries happen. It's not too hard to move out a good player later on. Maybe in a year or two the Flyers move out JVR or even Lindblom. Perhaps Voracek with some retained salary for one of the ELC contract guys.
Having to move out good players to accommodate good younger players is better than not signing good players because your prospects might want that slot in a year or two.

I like all your UFA/RFA deals. I would likely minus the Raffl deal. But all are probably pretty close. Especially like the MacDonald buy out. No way anyone else is going to take him off our hands. He can not hold Myers or Morin back any more. Waste of a spot.

Adding to the above...
I think we should trade Raffl to the Isles and maybe add a 4th to get Ho-Sang. Raffl can play almost anywhere in the lineup and would be a solid addition to their team. This way we get to try and pick up a 1st or a 2nd plus a decent prospect for Simmer.

Habs and Flyers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BCAPP</b></div><div>I'm neither a Philly nor Habs fan. I'd decline if I were Philly.
In most trades the team that gets the best piece wins. Juulsen, looks like an NHL defender. I am not convinced he is an impact defender.
Ylonen: I really can't judge prospects playing in Europe who I haven't followed, but he looks like what he was recently a 2nd round pick (playing in a mens league at Draft +1 but only doing okay)
Mid first, and a mid 3rd.
Ghost is a great defenseman to build around and importantly he's signed long term through his prime at a very good contract and is just 25 years old.
He is essentially being paid like a #3-4 dman and is a borderline #1 dman (likely a very good #2).
My problem with this return, is simply that I don't see a good shot at game breaking talent coming back to Philly
Also to F50Marco, sure, you could offer sheet someone with an unmatchable contract, but then you'd be stuck paying someone like 14 million. here you get a player for 4.5. Also you can call a late first, and early second and a future first, 3 firsts, but the difference is you know what they are. The danger with offer sheeting is there is so much unknown. If you miss the playoffs one of those years and your pick wins the lottery...</div></div>
No doubt that Ghost is the best single piece in this trade. Question is whether the Flyers scouts believe in Ylonen's potential ceiling and think a 1st round pick around #20 would be worth the gamble in a deep draft. Juulsen seems a safe bet as a solid defensive 3-4 D-man going forward. Good comment though.
