GMs say a lot of things. Things change and needs change especially as the deadline gets closer.
Anyway, like I said, it'd take more than a 3rd - although interesting you completely overlook Timmins as well but whatever. I wouldn't hold your breath that you're going to get some massive return for Dumba. Nor would I hold my breath if I were you that the Leafs would need to make some massive overpay sweetener to move a $1.35m contract.</div></div>
Yea we aren't getting a return for Dumba. He's been our worst D all year. We already had Timmins. Career bottom pair guy. He doesn't move the needle. A 3rd rounder for Reaves is an embossing proposal. Honestly one of the worst i've ever seen on here

Two Trades

you must not be familiar that Bill Armstrong said they are no longer doing that. The Leafs would have to give up A LOT!!! more such as high picks and prospects for somebody to take on Reaves and let the Leafs off the hook. Would be a lot more than just a 3rd round pick. Typical Leafs fan out to lunch.

Coyotes long term future pieces

He's great. I forgot about him. I'll add him right now. Also, I don't see Soderstrom being a fit here. Could see him being moved in any trade to raise the value.

Coyotes long term future pieces
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>100% . Use some of those seconds to move up imo in the draft. Coyotes have enough B prospects anyways</div></div>
Exactly. We did it to draft Gekkie #11 in 2022. Moved picks 27, 34, and 45. Need to do it again. Have a string feeling they will. If Armstrong can walk out of his first 4 drafts with 8 first round picks.. my god.

Coyotes long term future pieces
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Fergy22</b></div><div>Future looks bright for the Coyotes , well stocked cupboard of players and picks. When the time is right in a couple of years Armstrong can start flipping picks for players at the TDL. The one thing they lack is a couple of veteran players who know how to win and lead by example.</div></div>
On ice future sure looks great for the Coyotes. Off ice issues are a different topic lol.
All the draft capital that Armstrong has added can be used to move up in the draft and get the players they want. You are right as well, when the time is right, we have an abundance of picks to add players to grow into this core. The time for that will come. Trades such as Durzi for a 2nd round picks. Would also think Armstrong will find those types of veteran players to lead this group of young players, just like how he did this year with Bjugstad, Zucker, Kerfoot, Stecher, Dumba.

Coyotes long term future pieces
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>They need another Cooley level player instead of Hayton and they need a top a high end RD to push Durzi down</div></div>
Agreed. Hoping the Coyotes can draft a true top pair D this year. Another high end centre I believe is needed as well. Armstrong has done a hell of a job at putting these pieces in place as a foundation.

Lou never sells
The Islanders are not that great of a team. Islanders are one of the oldest teams in the league, 10 players have NMC's, and possess one of the weakest prospect pools in the league. Old man Lou is going to run this franchise into the ground. Insane to me that people on here want the Islanders to add again this deadline. Zero future, while also not really being a cup contender. Saying that though, I love love love Dobson.

Embrace the Future
Would easily make this trade from a Coyotes perspective. Columbus would be a hard no. I believe in order to Columbus to move Jiricek, it will be the type of deal that Anaheim and Philadelphia made. I feel we would have to move one of Geekie, But, Guenther in order to get Jiricek. Don't see Columbus taking B level prospects when shipping out a 20 year old future first pair RHD.

Oil Trade Deadline Pipedream
Dumba has been poor this season. Very poor. He would be best suited to play a 3rd pair role this season. Would have to think Dumba would still be playing 2nd pair in Edmonton. Coyotes would make this trade for sure though. Add another 2nd round pick to the vault.

Horrible. The Blackhawks should be getting a lot more than just a 2nd round pick for letting the Flames off the hook of Huby's contract.
