Go for it
Sharks don't have enough prospects depth to go with picks to pick up two quality pieces at the deadline. That is why I went with some of the young roster players. I think the value is there but agree it we be a 'go for it' and not likely in best interest long term.
What do you try to add now or at TDL if you are Sharks?

Back to back
Hard to give up Vrana and a late 1st plus b level prospect but PAC on 2nd line with Backs and Oshie is pretty solid. Say one 3rd is for Neimi for vet back up. Caps would be pushing hard for back to back cups to make this deal.
On Edler I found it hard to determine trade value to be honest but I think if he did move it would someone would give up two 2nds. Admittedly not knowing much about Djoos, so maybe not a good option. Maybe simply add some depth by getting a 4-6 man to rotate in as required as a 6-7. Suggestions? Sign Emelin on the cheap in case of injury?

Pacioretty and making the playoffs
Carolina would be holding two good pending UFAs on LW. Strategy moving forward? Hard push to make playoffs but never really address goaltending and need bounce back from Darling.
If out of playoffs you can move both PAC and Skinner in separate deals if either has not extended.
Which d man makes sense for Mtl to target from Car? Bean or Fleury? What would it take to get both?

habs 18-19 still same weakness 1st C and 1st LD
I think we are currently structured as two 2nd lines and two 3rd lines. With Max being a solid 1LW and maybe Drouin (but not there yet), also gallagher but i see him as a 2nd liner ideally (maybe favourite player on Habs).
On D we need a healthy Weber, top 4D (not sure we get the 2LHD via trade), and one of the young guys to take big step forward.
Plus Price to be like Price.
A ways to go to be competitive with leagues best.

Habs and Yotes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>he might be under-performing for where he was drafted, but that's not even close to the same thing as Struggling. Struggling is a guy like Francis Perron in Ottawa, who went from 76 and 108 point seasons in the Q, to 26 and 15 point seasons in the AHL. Strome was over a point a game in his first pro season, and has clearly shown that his game breaking skill is going to translate just fine to the tougher Pro game.
I suspect he starts the season on the yotes 3rd line, and is playing either with Galch or Keller or both by the Deadline.</div></div>
Agree this is quiet possible and maybe more likely. Again my trade is totally based on Strome struggling at the start of this season and the Yotes organization really looking to make playoffs this year. Two large assumptions I know.

Habs and Yotes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MountRoyal514</b></div><div>This makes sense - Arizona drafting Hayton this year may be a signal they aren't sure Strome is going to bust out for them, but the Habs are desperate enough for centres that its worth a try.</div></div>
Premise of PAC and Strome+1st trade is Strome struggles in first few months of season which give Yotes more pause for when / what Strome will develop into. The 1st Rd pick is top 3 protected and included based on PAC extended.
It will certainly be interesting to see where Pacs ends up (assuming he does eventually get traded).
I see Ana, Arizona, Buf, Dal (reunite with Radoluv and another team that needs to make a step forward this year), maybe Chi, Fla (rumour for a while but with Hoffman there not as big of need on LW). More teams with interest at TDL if Habs hold on to him that long. NYR will take a look if he gets to UFA but don't see them making a trade for him.
