Probably something between 4-5 milllion and 3-5 years. Personally I wouln't go over 5 million or 5 years.

Having played for Torts before is a plus as well. 2.5 years of McDonagh is a good time line too where he won’t block a potential first round pick dman from the upcoming draft.</div></div>
Id rather part with the high round 2nd for Ferraro out of SJ, and run York-Sanheim, Ferraro-Drysdale, Zamula/Andrae-Risto in top 6.

Panic Jenner Trade Playoff Edition
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>squashmaple</b></div><div>Dammit, caseyFlyman. This is why we don't open doors.</div></div>
In my defense...it wasn't my original idea. I think I saw a Colorado trade first on the <a href="/users/Grebby14" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Grebby14</a> ACGM <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/784189?post_id=4564690">"Back to the Cup"</a> a few days ago, which was still short a 1st/1st-equivalent IMO. Added that, and Colorado fans still seemed okay with it. Mine was for the end of the year, specifically if management/ownership wanted to send a strong message that the results with this core aren't close.
And if we can hang nine goals on teams without Jenner...maybe we don't need him?

Back to the Cup
You <em>might </em>get Jenner for that discount if no other team in the league decides they want a faceoff machine on a cheap contract with leadership qualities whose current team has no motivation to trade, but you definitely don't get the retention or the pick with him.
Also, it's probably not Columbus's 2024 second going to Philly. That pick is conditional and CBJ can choose whether it's '24 or '25. As the 24 pick will likely be 33-36, unlikely they won't defer the condition to 2025.

Deadline season
Cody Ceci is better, cheaper, and under contract for less term than Risto: what gives you the impression that EDM would make that trade?
I also imagine that COL & LA would decline.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Grebby14</b></div><div>I agree the effort has been solid and they are decimated with injuries. Even healthy though this wouldn’t be a playoff team. Best to sell off and get younger assets and more picks. Briere needs to come in and have a TDL/Off-season like Homer did in his first year as GM.</div></div>
I kinda want them to clear out the whole office from Senior advisors to Briere. Love people like Clarke, Holmgren but they have been apart of this way to long. Briere I'd be ok if he stick around as an AGM but I dont think he's ready and nobody knows if he's gonna be a Good GM. He was a big part of Making the Tuomaala Pick and Forester pick, and honestly I think Tuomaala was the worst pick made in Fletchers Tenure. It's still early of course but he is really struggling.

The Los Angeles trade has risks for the Kings, but if either player pans out, it could be enormously beneficial for us. I would pull the trigger on that offer.

Can probably get more from LA for those two players.
Giving up too much to Arizona for Crouse.
Lindblom trade seems reasonable.

Cap situation doesn't work on that offer at all, though, for LA.
That's over $12mil in cap hit going to the Kings with no salary going out. This trade would need to be reconfigured in a big way to make it even feasible for LA. It's hard to even begin looking at what would need to be done. But off the top of my head, a counter would be something that included guys like Walker and/or Iafallo to offset the cost. No other real contract values are capable of being sent out for LA. And since those two are both valuable pieces, that means the draft picks going back to Philly would need to be downgraded.
Which then means that Philly says no, because they're in it for the picks (along with Turcotte)... Tough trade to evaluate.
I think there is a way to get one of Provorov or Konecny (I'd prefer Provorov), I just don't see both being a feasible option.

Thanks for pointing out the financial flaw in the proposed deal. I was so giddy at the thought of acquiring those two players at such a reasonable cost that I reacted without thinking it through.
P.S. My gaffe is particularly embarrassing inasmuch as on March 11 I published a trade involving these exact 4 players!

Todays Predictions
Probably about right, I think theres a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th coming back for Braun, Brassard, Jones, Thompson collectively.
I think that theres little chance Provorov or Koneckny get moved at deadline, as most of those TDL moves are capped out contenders looking for this year, and acquiring a provorov or koneckny for the other teams is all about 22-23 and beyond, so dont think a move is made now (maybe before draft or in off season). Neither are at the top of their trade value right now anyways, but I think if Philly were to move them it would be as the entire league is thinking about 22-23.
While all 3 of those guys might be up for trade, probably right now, (and lindblom having a good rebound season, at 3mil, is probably not viewed as a TDL guy).

Flyers fans Im so sorry
I am a flyers fan and don't hate this at all, Sanhiem is having an excellent year playing with Risto. Risto brings physicality to this soft team, he gets way to much hate, and it could have been worse payment. He would probably get 6-6.5 on the open market with the current available RHD. We have worse issues with Provorov who's been atrocious this year making 6.75.

True, but Zito is more interested in adding a top pair LHD instead of a bottom pair.
