I’m just not seeing how two players that are underperforming their long term contracts big time get a premium prospect, a 1st, and a 2nd.

The Los Angeles trade has risks for the Kings, but if either player pans out, it could be enormously beneficial for us. I would pull the trigger on that offer.

Can probably get more from LA for those two players.

Giving up too much to Arizona for Crouse.

Lindblom trade seems reasonable.

Cap situation doesn't work on that offer at all, though, for LA.

That's over $12mil in cap hit going to the Kings with no salary going out. This trade would need to be reconfigured in a big way to make it even feasible for LA. It's hard to even begin looking at what would need to be done. But off the top of my head, a counter would be something that included guys like Walker and/or Iafallo to offset the cost. No other real contract values are capable of being sent out for LA. And since those two are both valuable pieces, that means the draft picks going back to Philly would need to be downgraded.

Which then means that Philly says no, because they're in it for the picks (along with Turcotte)... Tough trade to evaluate.

I think there is a way to get one of Provorov or Konecny (I'd prefer Provorov), I just don't see both being a feasible option.

Thanks for pointing out the financial flaw in the proposed deal. I was so giddy at the thought of acquiring those two players at such a reasonable cost that I reacted without thinking it through.

P.S. My gaffe is particularly embarrassing inasmuch as on March 11 I published a trade involving these exact 4 players!
