Making it work -- Use the cap

Sure he is. He's a bonafide 40 to 60 pointer every year. And he's not a figure skater, like most of the Oilers. :sarcasm

Back to the good old days
<a href="/users/DirtyDangles" target="_blank">@DirtyDangles</a> If I could interject with this whole Hart vs McNiven nonsense, and value between Price and Hart.
First of all Hart has more value than McNiven. Where I think <a href="/users/Hockey1033" target="_blank">@Hockey1033</a> is getting at though is in McNiven's final year of Junior (2016-17) he won CHL Goaltender of the year (Hart was nominated), even if Hart had better individual statistics (1.99 - 927%) while McNiven (2.30 - 915%). Extrapolate what you want from this, but I think that's what he's getting at. The reason Hart is more valuable (by a lot) is that he's been slated as a top goalie prospect for a long time and from a young age due representing Canada at World juniors and actually being drafted (McNiven was not). and Hart hasn't shown any signs of regression. Also, as of right now MTL has two goalie prospects above McNiven right now anyways in Primeau and Lindgren.
The Hart is equal to Price however is ridiculous. not saying Flyers should be interested in him (he's not for sale anyways), but Hart has a total of zero professional games played. CHL stats mean absolutely nothing in this comparison. once Hart gets to the pros, and can carry a crappy AHL to a championship (which is what Price did with the Hamilton Bulldogs) then immediately take the starter position in the NHL when the team already had an established #1 and backup in place (Huet and Halak), and have an impact. If Hart can at least accomplish similar things to that. then sure.
But I'll agree that PHI shouldn't target Price. Not because of the money, but the term of his deal. At some point you have to think they will want to give Hart a chance. Price would prevent this. PHI need a guy signed tops to a 3year deal. If I were PHI I'd try and target Allen from STL.

What would u offer for Habs 3rd overall pick

No one can say for sure, of course.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Smokingun71</b></div><div>From an Oilers fan that is a horrible trade for the Flames. A lot of these offers are overpaying for a draft pick that might turn into a star, no guarantee.</div></div>
If Zadina/Svechnikov is going to be as great prospect as they're expected to be, Flames will love this. Gaudreau-Monahan-Zadina/Svechnikov line would be absolutely awesome.

from NYR, I'd give you vlad, the 9th overall, Boston's first, and take on a good chunk of Alzner's contract.

Patches is good but not trading for one year of him. We don’t need a bunch of 2nd round picks, need players that help now.</div></div>
Schlemko is good 3rd pair and Shaw is 20 goal scorer his only 26 and Byron is 20 goal scorer too and Patches with a Centre can be 35+ score im scare of that lol. 1st round pick and 3 2nd round picks i think it helps down the road
