We are paying Suzuku 925k for another year and then paying Suzuki this until he is 31. Perfect contract for our 1C

Toronto has higher taxes than Florida so they might be making around the same amount after taxes, also how tf does Marner and Tavares have to do with Barkov's extension

Yeah my ask without a 3 way would be Mangiapane + Zary + 1st. That’s what I’d be asking for around the league. Or Brady + for a better player

What is the difference in value between 31st overall and 85th overall
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyFan989</b></div><div>It depends on how high a team values the pick
If a team views a player available at that spot as a potential steal they value it higher then if they rnt looking at anyone in particular and just select BPA on their list</div></div>
Agreed. Also depends on the perceived quality of the draft.
There's a number of examples of trades in the late 20's though. For instance:
-In 2011, the Leafs traded #22 OA for #30 OA and #39 OA in 2011 (That didn't turn out so well for Toronto).
-In 2014, the Tampa traded #28 OA for #35 and #57 (Didn't work out well for either team).
-In 2015, Philly acquired #24 OA for #29 and #61 from the Leafs (Long live Thomas Konecny, but Bracco was the GOAT!)
-In 2016, Washington acquired #26 OA for #28 and #87 (This is probably the closest example...dropping 2 spots at the bottom of the first netted the Caps a late 3rd)
-In 2017, Anaheim dropped 3 spots from #26, and acquired #29 and #70.
-In 2019, #34 OA went for #45 and #65 OA.

He has been playing with both 1st line (Shipachyov/Galiyev) and 2nd line (O'Dell/Klinkhammer or Lindberg).

Hamilton instead of Hoffman and savard
I know your a leafs fan, but I've never seen a fan base **** and complain watching our team suck at scoring and suck on the power play for 3 decades now **** and complain about a player that does both. no Hoffman isn't anywhere near the perfect player but guess what, 4.5 million bucks won't get you 30 goals and good defence or even solid. try and keep the puck out of your net with Savard and get some ****ing goals out of Hoffman especially on the power play

Smart Choice he's a Quality Player
If i had something worth it i'd trade but i realize what he means
Really the best we could do is Petry at 50% and a pile of picks which helps WPG short and long term
But Cripples MTL longterm to do it
there's no scenario in which both teams win trying to do it.
Not unless Poehling breaks out and scores 40 goals this year lmfao

What i'd be more interested in is if theres a deal where Ehlers and Anderson can be moved
Ehlers played for our Coach Ducharme alongside Drouin and it just works for so many reasons(not that Anderson dont)
But of any WPG player the one i want isnt the french Center its the European Forward who played Canadian Junior
But something tells me any deal for him will come at a higher player price then Anderson sadly.

Agreed
Were not good trade partners on this one unless we do like NSH ,VGK and PHI
bundle with LAK to get Vlardi then flip him for Dubois type deal for a younger big Center
i dont see that happening unless LAK makes a push at the TDL and MTL are sellers

Winnipeg Jets Niku bought out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyFan989</b></div><div>Or just put him on waivers and if he passes have him play in the AHL</div></div>
He’s on unconditional waivers for purpose of contract termination. So likely that he’s bought out, or does the contract terminate with no cap penalty? If they’re buying him out that doesn’t make a ton of sense, because like you said he could’ve just been picked up on waivers or play in the AHL.

Niku may have asked for his release, if he wants to play overseas.

WPG Whats his cost
Lowry is a very important player for the Jets. Top penalty killer and a beast 5 on 5. Always willing to drop the mitts to protect teammates. Leader both on and off the ice. Dave Lowry is also one of the coaches. He would be tough to move for the Jets.

Trade for Dubois loosely based on another ACGM post
I agree with everyone else. The Jets have no reason to move Dubois as they know exactly how hard and how expensive it is to find a top 6 center. If they did however, Montreal only has one asset that Winnipeg would consider as the starting point.
