Isac Lundstrom’s well-rounded ability is what made the Anaheim Ducks select him 23rd overall in 2018. He’s a great passer and a strong two-way centreman. While he’s shown flashes of offensive flair, he’ll likely end up as a solid shutdown centreman in the middle-six. It’s looking likely that he’ll be graduating from this list very soon.
See now that is legit not reddit article and they mention “middle 6” over and over in there and if you say hockeywriters.com isn’t I’m going to give up trying to argue with you.</div></div>
The bottom 6 and top 6 arnt interchangeably very often. Accept injury. You do interchange top 6 forwards all the time. During the game, they play and switch playing with each other throughout most of the game. The top 2 lines are out there with a lot of combos usually. Same with the bottom 6. No coach I know, puts a 3rd line player onto the 1st or 2nd line during a game. Maybe if it’s an injury. Or he is playing well. Or someone is playing bad and u to move him down. But you most always wait till the next game and start him out playing in the top 6 pairings. Accept injury.
Like I said, Top 6 and bottom 6. Stick to that man. You’ll sound like you know what your talking about!! Why so mad?? Cause I said u sound dumb?? Lol. Sorry bud!! I’m just trying to help man!! Good luck!! Keep using that term!! Middle 6 winger..lol.

I bet Nathan Legare has a shot to make the team too. He is the captain of his team in the Q. Had 71 points in 61 games last year and 87 points in 68 games the year b4.
And is N.Robertson Canadian?! I know he plays in the Q league, WHL, or OHL. He doesn’t sound Canadian when he talks though but I’m not sure. I never really thought about it.

I could have afforded Binnginton?? I would much rather Gibson. So would any team. He’s a top goalie in the league and not on a great Defensive team. Binnington has a really good D in front of him in St.Louis. Just like T.Jarry. It’s why Jarry and M.Murray both are all-stars. They are both good. But with a good D system and players in front of you. It gives you All-star numbers. Just like Binnington. Gibson does it without that. And can win games by himself.
My Centers are way better and my 4th line is my defensive line. Like they should be. And they can chip in and score too. But my 3 players on my 4th line all had Selke votes last year. A top Defensive line.
You’re 3rd pairing D and back-up goalie is better, yes. But you couldn’t afford that if they weren’t E-L contracts. And T.Demko is one of the top young goalies in the game. Him C.Hart, I.Sohokin and M.Blackwood. All top young Goalies in the NHL. Future stars!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lsendel3</b></div><div>Love how Reinhart is the only one receiving playing with star player bump in your explanation. Rust played almost exclusively with Malkin, who some think is still better then Eichel right now (not trying to start a debate just pointing out he’s a star too). Juuso is no different then Pilut, in that they both looked decent in spot time but there’s a reason they don’t both get playing time. These guys aren’t worth much of anything. Don’t know the prospect but at this point in my explanation we’ll call it wash. So now it’s back to reinhart who’s done it (scoring at an elevated pace) more consistently then Rust who’s had 1 year of ppg play (not exactly a ppg player when you’ve done it once at age 28. Taking Reinhart’ s age into consideration this isn’t really close to a good trade for Buf</div></div>
I didn’t say he was the only player benefiting from playing with good players. I was just saying he does. So there is no excuses. And Rust is a Point per game player. Doesnt matter if it was a shortened season or only 1 year. It’s the truth. He is a Point per game player right now. That is his value!! Might be the highest it ever was or ever will be but that his value now, at the time of this trade. A Point per game player. Nothing about that statement is false.
N.Legare is a 20 year old prospect. Was top 50 in his draft class. The captain of his team in the Q league. Will probably make the Canadian WJ team this year. A “B+”, “A-“, “A” prospect. Depending who you ask. Was a top 30-35 prospect in his draft class in 2019. Is close to NHL ready at 6’0, 205 and 20 years old.

Ya, I think it will be 3 or 4. I don’t think it will be 5. I think he’ll play 2 years in the KHL to end it. He definitely not leaving Washington though. Jesperi Kotkaniemi isnt worth two “A”, “A-“ prospects and all those picks. Maybe a teams top 1st or 2nd prospect and then a late 1st and 3rd or 4th. But that’s tops. It would be like PO-Joseph and the 1st round pick and a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Lol. Rust is a Point per game player. Making only 3.5M a year. Legare was a top 50 prospect in his draft class. A “B+”, “A-“ prospect. The Pens were gonna take him or Poulin in the 1st round. And when he fell to the beginning of the 3rd. The Pens traded up to get him and were surprised he was still there. j.Riikola is a valuable Defender. Still young. Came over 2 years from Russia at 25 years old and was a highly touted FA signing. Has played well in limited games. But when he plays. He slides right into the 2nd or 3rd pairing. And plays 16 minutes a night. Not sheltered minutes. Plays both LHD and RHD just as well. His metrics/analytics are great. The Pens trust him and rewarded him that 2 year, 1.1M contract this summer. A perfect 7th D. And can start on the bottom
Pairing on most teams and the 2nd pairing on some teams.
Sam Reinhardt is over-rated. Plays with a top Center in the NHL. He is #2 overall pick. I can see why he is. But I’d rather have Rust and Legare.
I just clicked on his profile. He is a Pens fan though!!! Lol.

Unless Rust has a bad year. We don’t trade him and a 2nd round pick for a 3 C. I like Pavel Zacha, I don’t think he’s a bust yet, like some people do. I think he will still have a good NHL career. Is a really good 3C. But the Pens don’t trade a top 6 forward, making only 3.5M a year, and a 2nd round pick for a 3C. Unless like I said, Rust has a bad year this year. If it’s anything like last year though, A Point per game, it’s not close to the value he would bring back IF they wanted to trade one of their top wingers.

Here, I’ll replace P.Danault with Eric Staal who is making 3.25M/ year. And Alex Lafallo with Conor Garland who is making 900K. It leaves me with more cap room, about another 1.5M, for a 21st and 22nd player. Or I’ll replace P.Danault with P.Zacha(2.25M) and A.Lafallo with R.Rakell(3.3M).

Sure cause reddit says so. Google it buddy. And just look at the links I posted. The only time I can find anyone using that term. Is on reddit. Or one article about the Bruins. And they Quoted it. Google it and get back to me. Good luck. You’ll see. Believe me, I do, you’re not right. No one that knows or played hockey has ever heard of a middle 6 being a phrase. 1st two lines, top 6, are interchangeable. Bottom 6 and top 6 are not mixed up on lines together. The top 6 are mixed up and bottom 6 lines are mixed. Not together though.

Oh u mean like P.Marleau and brad Stuart and A.Zyuzin being drafted, #2, #2 and #3 in back to back to back years. Sure they do. Many teams have top picks in back to back years or in years close together. Or top 5 in multiple years recurring. What are u talking about..?? I could name 5 teams in the past 10 years that have. Never heard of it my man. Younger players bounce b/ween being bottom 6 and then top 6 forward when they mature. Or maybe cause of injury. But it’s a different pay scale even. A bottom 6 and a top 6. What do u pay them? Really man, I don’t think it’s a term used in hockey. Top 6 and bottom 6 has been used forever and is the correct term.
