I think you are still a bit low as well. With your update of the 2nd to a 1st that puts you at 3 1sts, Lind who we can give the benefit of the doubt and say he is worth a 2nd, Joulevi who I hope can turn it around but his value has fallen and is probably only a 2nd, and a cap dump who best case is LTIR which means nothing to Buffalo. They are going to want a good young piece who has proven to have higher value than a 1st and then a bunch of 1sts.

I think that could be a really good move for Boston, although since Graves will probably be Seattles best D they will probably only do a 1 for 1 no pick added.

I agree but if they can all get to the 70 points range and Caufield can do 35 goal then that would be enough

I think at this point the best chance is for KK, Suzuki, and Caufield to develop to be the stars the team needs

While Detroit would accept this trade they would not do an actual Eichel trade as Buffalo would require much more.
No chance Pittsburgh does that, I don’t think Montreal does that either.

I think Sheary would be a bad pick for Seattle, he really has only been good when playing with good centermen which it is very unlikely Seattle will have more than 1 or 2 decent ones.

While I agree that Danault would be a better fit under Torts system there is no way to know what kind of system will be in place now that he has gone.
With players like Laine and Domi there should be a big change in the type of system the new coach will run vs Torts

Canadiens Bruins Under Cap How Far
You essentially took the best parts of Boston (the top line, McAvoy, and Rask) and added great pieces around them from Montreal. This team would be unstoppable.
Only adjustments that I think I would make would be to take out DeBrusk and Zboril and put in Carlo and Ritchie. You could move Romanov to the left then.

I was thinking of it as Rust > Carter and Patrick > Aube-Kubel but you could just replace Aubrey-Kubrick with Rust or if you want to keep the number of players per team even which is what I thought you were doing drop McCann in favor of Rust and then you still have 4 centers.

Penguins Flyers Under Cap How Far
It is a good team but with the cap space you have you can make some big improvements. I would drop Zucker, Carter, and Aube-Kubel and add Guentzel, Rust, and Patrick. Then lines would be:
Guentzel-Crosby-Rust That line is so good together.
Giroux-Couturier-Konecny would be a very strong all around
Farabee-Patrick-Kapanen
Laughton-Blueger-McCann
Then if there is enough cap left swap out Ceci for Dumoulin.

reuniting merzly and nick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>leafs_RtheBest</b></div><div>i think i was talking about hollowell when i mentioned a c-level, hallander is a b-level prospect.
also i meant merzly is more proven than campbell, hence the larger price.
what do you think is most reasonable for merzly (with the retention) such that it's not a massive overpay, where columbus would also be okay with the cost?</div></div>
Lets use Grubauer as a comparison. When he was traded to COL Wash got a 2nd but also sent Orpik for his 5.5mil to be bought out. We later saw Marleau get sent with a !st for his 6.25mil to be bought out. So lets say the trade for Grubauer was a 1st and a 2nd. I think that the rfa status and age of Grubauer were more valuable than the 1 year then ufa of Merzlikins. Then the retension, TOR paid a 4th for SJ to retain roughly the same $ amount for a quater of a season on Foligno. So lets say the entire year retension has the same value as the age and rfa status of Grubauer.
I would say that CBJ would want something like a 1st and 2nd. I do not think that he is worth that and do not think that TOR should pay that much which is why I do not think that the deal works out between the teams.
Now if CBJ does not think that they can resign him then things change.

reuniting merzly and nick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>leafs_RtheBest</b></div><div>i mean it's the cost of 2 2nds for an expiring goaltender - columbus is also trying to retool no? hallander is a great 3C in the future, and that 2nd could hit big because 2023 is deeeep.
friedman also mentioned that columbus would likely be forced to trade him (not entirely sure why but I jumped on that) and they would probably get lowballed. so i went with that. back in 2020, dubas gave up 2 3rds for campbell. a more proven goalie yet still one who hasn't played a ton, merzlikins for 2 2nds feels right. keep in mind that campbell also came with an extension.</div></div>
Hallander is still a prospect so there is no way you can know he will be a great 3C. You cannot guarantee he will ever play in the NHL. You also called him a c-level prospect which to me does not hold the value aid a 2nd and definitely does not project to be a great 3C.
As for Campbell at the time of the trade he had played 1 less game than Merzlikins has now and was a backup so I would not say he was more proven.
I am not saying that Merzlikins is better than a tandem goalie or more valuable than 2 2nds but I think CBJ believes he is. I don’t see any reason why they would need to trade him, especially not in the offseason. If they are not having any luck with contract negotiations and the team is not doing well again next year then they will likely move before the deadline. If they trade him at the deadline I do not think they get 2 2nds worth but that doesn’t mean they should trade him.
I think CBJ is built well they just need a coach who is not cancer in the room.

Why would CBJ make that trade? Elvis is expansion exempt so it would be easy for them to protect Korpisalo. They certainly should not sell low on him especially if that is all they would be getting.

If you see him as a 25th-40th goalie in the league with some growth potential then I think that is a fair offer. The problem is that I think that CBJ sees him as higher end and higher value. I do not think that they will be trading him, you might be able too pry him away but it probably takes a massive overpay.

I would say you can go a little lower for Danault but it will depend on the market for him. I think that is really high for McCabe maybe more like 5 years 4-4.25.

The difference between Labanc and Olofsson is not that much. I agree that Olofsson has a higher ceiling but they are both 25 and Labanc has had better seasons in his career. And a condition of 40 points to move a 2nd to a 1st is so low, if he does not get 40 points and is not injured for a large portion of the season the trade would be a bust.
Maybe drop the 2nd and one of the 3rds and put the condition to move the 3rd to a 2nd.

Giroux is from Ottawa and might want to go back for the last couple yearas of his career and help a young team take the next step. Ottawa will be good next year, I think they will be a playoff contender.</div></div>
A team that hopes to be a playoff contender that trades away their 1st before the season in a draft that strong is really risking having that be a lottery pick.
Ottawa might be ready to turn the corner but a few untimely injuries and they could be right at the bottom of the league again.
