revamping after no luck

Joulevi is nice and all but they already have Salo, Bolduc and Aho on that left side and Roussel costs more than Hickey. Doesn't seem to make much sense to add 500k in cap during a crunch just for a reclamation prospect at the deepest position of the prospect pool.

no more ahl players on the nhl team please
Isles pass. Mayfield is on a dirt cheap contract that's very valuable with their current cap situation and don't really need Woo considering they have Pulock, Dobson, Mayfield, and Wilde on the right side.

Only so much of a contract can be buried in the AHL, believe that number in 20/21 will be about 1.1m so signing those guys at 1.5m each and putting them in the AHL would leave the main roster with 1.6m in dead cap.

sure thing man, i get that he's a young talented player and all but he most definitely makes plenty of mistakes in his own zone still

Hopeful Trade Deadline
Bolduc has surpassed Wilde so swap them and it'd make more sense tbh. Also don't know how much interest Isles have in another D when they have Hickey who's been fine when he's in and Aho who's good offensively but can't play D which is still fine as #8 on the depth chart. Trading Ladd seems more like a thing that'd be done in the off season to me.

Greene's been perfectly fine as a #6. Nothing flashy in his game, been good on the pk, does his job making up for some of Dobson rookie mistakes.

5.5-6 is definitely fair value, but with the flat cap a lot of deals seem to be getting about 1m shaved off the top so I'm assuming that's where the 4-4.5 numbers are coming from.

Kyle Palmeri New York Islander
Obviously it'll depend on how he fairs the rest of the season and in the playoffs but Palms value is probably about 1-1.5m cheaper than that, Sorokin has had some bad games that've hampered his numbers but he's mainly played against NJD, BUF, and PHI this season so I'd think they give him a short bridge at like 3m so when Varly's contract expires so they can see if he's capable of being a starter and then pay him as such. Dal Colle doesn't put up points despite being good defensively so idk if he gets more than 1m and Golyshev, Timashov, and Koivula aren't playing in the NHL so i see no reason for them to get 1.5m.
You could probably just pay market value for the guys listed above and use that $5m to just keep Bailey and let Mayfield go to Seattle

Fair value for Taylor Hall and Brandon Montour
I don't think you can use Hall to Arizona as a way of gauging his current value. When he was traded to Arizona he wasn't that far removed from being MVP, had 25 pts in 30 games, was making $6m a year without a flat cap, and had no kind of clause. As it stands, Hall has an $8m cap hit with the flat cap, has 17 pts in 32 games with only 2 of those pts being goals, and a no movement clause on top of everything. Don't get me wrong, I don't think you're wrong in saying that a top 6 former MVP winger should probably be valued at least a late 1st in a normal year, but in the current environment and the narrative surrounding him the price is likely a 2nd.
The Pageau trade was a also different IMO because the Isles traded that haul for him with an extension already agreed upon, so I don't believe Lou would be all that eager to trade a 1st here when that 1st may be important in their upcoming off season and the expansion draft. However, I think Lou would probably entertain the idea of a 1st if Buffalo would consider taking someone like Komarov or Hickey who would help the Isles cap issues in following years.
Idk if it's crazy, but teams commonly move up into the late 1st round by giving up a 2nd + a 3rd round pick meaning I think you could say that the Isles sending Komarov + 1st for Hall may be relatively fair value if you consider Komarov and a 3rd for cap space + a 2nd for Hall with no retention to be about the same value? Idk this is off the top of my head lol

Deadline deals why not go for Dahlin
Isles can't take multi year contracts, especially not at $4m. They have to sign Pelech, Beauvillier, and Sorokin this off season and De Haan is def not worth losing one of those 3.
I get that it unloads Komarov but it still adds cap which is the last thing they need

Offense depth and leadership
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dello4tron</b></div><div>Probably too much for Hall.
Is Bellows on the outs with you?
I have been thinking Keifer for Hall with 50% retained</div></div>
Isles 100% would do Bellows for Hall retained
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rick_and_Laf_lol</b></div><div>Make a deal wit SEA to take him so they won't take a core player. And Hall is worth more than Bellows</div></div>
Isles most likely go 7f 3d so they'd protect Barzal, Lee, Beauvillier, Nelson, Pageau, Eberle, Bailey, Pelech, Pulock, and Leddy.
That basically leaves Mayfield and Cizikas. Mayfield is not having the best year and most Isles fans would be fine with losing him because the Isles have lots of young dmen like Dobson, Salo, Bolduc, and Wilde who can fill that spot. Cizikas is a free agent so Seattle would have to sign him with their early free agent window, but the Isles probably don't have the cap to sign Zeek anyway.

2019/20: 6 pts first 8 games, 4 in the next 16

Isles Fans - Who Is Seattle Taking
As it stands it doesn't seem like Bellows is even going to be exposed purely because of 27/54 requirement which means he would need to play 19 more games this season in order for him to qualify for exposure. I'd be shocked if he gets more than 5 games the rest of the way as Czarnik has passed him on the depth chart. Aho likely won't be exposed for the same reasons. He needs to play 27 games to meet the requirement and the Isles seem to have no interest in changing things up defensively unless there is an injury. Although, I could see one of Aho/Bellows packaged to Seattle alongside someone like Komarov or Clutterbuck as a way of freeing up cap space.
Mayfield and Cizikas are the most likely to get picked IMO.
Cizikas will be a UFA and as a 4th liner that has scored 20 goals, is extremely good defensively, fast, and a great person in the room I think Seattle will try and use their UFA negotiating period on him.
Mayfield is on a very cheap contract and even if he's not having a great year it would be low risk for Seattle to pick him as a big, physical, and cheap #5 dman.
