Boston Bruins signed Justin Brazeau (2 Years / $775,000 AAV)
BOS does need a jolt to their 4th line. Wondering if they signed him to call him up specifically for that reason. Would be surprising though as he doesn't have great foot speed.

Tampa Bay Lightning signed Darren Raddysh (2 Years / $975,000 AAV)
He looked good towards the end but lets see
No risk deal
But man if he continues those strong performances might be a loss for him as in FA he could have potentially got way more
Look what Poolman and Holl got lul

It's a good contract, even if he doesn't improve. Plus, he's still an RFA at the end of it.

Ullmarks NTC is 16 teams this year, 15 next year. I'm guessing all the Canadian teams will be on the list. But I like the sentiment of doing a trade like that.
However, Lindholm and Hanafin will only be eligible for 7 year deals unless OP is saying we traded for them in 23-24. Furthermore, I think Hanafin might take a hometown discount and that cap might happen. Lindholm though, will be 29, almost 30 in free agency, and a deal through his year 37 sason would be a lot to take at 9 million. He would have to take a shorter deal for that money, otherwise it's closer to 8 or less given he's had one 40 goal, 80 point season. Comparable contract to Hertl and Zibanejad.

He only has that chance if the Jets are on his list for the modified no trade, I assume they probably are. But if they're not Ullmark would be a good target for the Jets if they don't get a tendy for next year.

A 1C, who is very solid in all areas of the game, for less than 10M? Seems good to me.

I think Chairot in the 3rd pair with Holl is better than him playing on his off side, he struggles enough on his good side.

They might be really good together or really bad together. They both like pretending they're Bobby Orr at times skating the puck up ice and creating turnovers (not Orr). They both need to stay back, use their size to seal off opponents.
Chiarot is big and nasty to play against and borderline dirty. Holl is big but doesn't play big. But he's good at reading angles and using his size to frustrate opponents. When he's playing well.
When he's not playing well? It's ugly. If they're both bad and paired together? It's a nightmare fueled $hit sandwich.

Hopefully they can be good enough to snag a wild card spot. Really depends on consistency, Demko's health and whether guys can rebound(Garland, Beauvillier) or develop(Hoglander, Rathbone, Podz).

As an LA native im very excited to go to games this coming season. This team on paper looks like its going to be very exciting as long as everyone stays health and goal tending holds up.
Forward group wise I think you've got it spot on, maybe Lewis gets a little more playing time than JAD but only because his leadership and experience not over his skill.
Defensive wise that's probably how it'll end up but I surely wouldnt mind seeing Clarke or Spence with Gavy and Bjornfot with Roy just to add a little dynamic to the back end.
Goaltending wise I'd start the season with Copley and hope that he could have as good of a season as he did last year. I think they will end up splitting the season pretty evenly between Copley and Talbot.

Ras won't be 4C. It'll be Dirty Joe. We need Ras' size somewhere in the top 9 to offset the smaller guys like Cat, Raymond and Bergy. I have Ras at LW riding shotgun with Larks.

I would put Ras on LW beside Larkin and Lucas. He played better at LW than centre in my opinion. His size, physicality and defensive play can offset some of Raymond's lack thereof. That first line the way you have them will get pushed around. I have Copp on the second line but in my opinion, it doesn't really matter if its him or Compher. I have Cat on the second line with whichever centre and Perron, again those two can offset Cat's lack of size and defensive play. Third line I have Compher/ Copp, Kostin and Berggren. Kostin I think could really add an element of physicality to that line and he does have some skill as we saw in Edmonton. I have Fabs on the fourth line with Veleno, or a UFA centre, and Sprong. Sprong might end up working his way up the line up though. I run my defence the same as what you got.

Happy to hear that, he did seem to play well in a structured system like the Avs, which is why I believe the Kings picked him up. We need his physicality, and him being a shutdown player would work with Clarke. But Bjornfot is a 1st rounder who will be given every opportunity to take the spot.

Same, something interesting to watch in camp is that Bjornfot and Spence have experience playing with eachother more than Clarke, and especially more than Englund. The Kings could also, split up Matt Roy and Gavrikov and have shutdown defensemen on the bottom-4 pairs and play Clarke on the second pairing, Roy with Spence on his offside. There are a lot of options that will need to be tried out for that bottom-4, PLD's line, and the 4th line.

We could take those hits, but I think we leave minimum 200K in the cap to give us room at the deadline.
