I believe the mindset would be Weber will have retired, and you have 8 million dollars in cap space by the time CC needs a new contract, and that’s only if they keep Kotka.

Based on the rumor
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nepTrystan</b></div><div>Honestly... that's an awsome idea of offer sheets Petersson
Because either Vancouver will be forced to create cap space while loosing some key players/prospects or let him walk for these picks
I prefered at that point Bernier (or going for an better goalie due to all that cap space) that Halak and add 2 players in case of injuries (a D and a foward) and this team will looks gooooood</div></div>
I only did Halak because of the Montreal angle, but it would be ballsy if Marc pulled that off.

Merkley would have to impress in the AHL before he jumps Jaros, Meloche, and Pasinchuk in line for the 6th spot.

Karlsson is the definition of high risk, high reward.
Burns is like... always decent, and then something amazing.

Dahlen, Hertl, Meier, Labanc, McCann, Balcers, Kane
Vlasic, Karlsson, Simek

He started his career on the left side, plus with Joel Armia being a free agent, and most of the other right wingers wanting more ice team, you’re gonna need a third line winger.

THREEPEAT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sebi</b></div><div>To be fair after seeing the suter and parise buyouts I envisioned atleast 1 if not both of them signing with Tampa for under a mill so seeing someone make that a reality gives me a weird feeling that it make actually happen on day 1 of free agency. But I feel the killorn deal won’t be a complete cap dump even tho he’s not who he was but seeing the Blackhawks get that return for Keith and he’s older and gets paid a million more I could see killorn actually getting a fair return but teams may be stingy to help Tampa again but teams would be dumb to not take killorn. Also I’d pay more to get rid of Johnson. I can also see julien try and sign Ross to a 2 year minimum on the 1 way like he did with Joseph and Mitchell Stephen last year. Albeit I can see Tampa 3 peat honestly</div></div>
When Parise was asked about him and Suter signing to a team once again, he immediately responded “We’ve already talked about it.” So what team could really give both players incentive to sign with? Maybe a Californian team, maybe New York, and most obviously, Tampa Bay.

I was only basing it on the deal that almost happened, maybe a return to New Jersey for Parise? I still think both San Jose and Minnesota win the original trade.

If the Sharks did nothing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingBurns</b></div><div>Why would they put all the good wingers on one wing</div></div>
You would have to ask Bob that, these are the most common lines (sans Dahlen) from the second half of the season.
Barabanov, Hertl, Kane, if on the roster, would be a top 6 lock, and Kane has shifted left wing and right wing through out the entire year (he played with Leonard and Couture as a right winger). You have to have Couture and Meier in your top six, and Meier does way better on his off wing, so take your pick on who the left winger will be between Balcers and Dahlen. You’re now left with Labanc who might play on the 2nd or 3rd line.

Just an armchair gm
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>Wow, u get Elvis super cheap in that deal. U would be stealing him. Some would argue that a 5th and a 7th has more value than a 3rd.
Especially an early 5th and early 7th(that 3rd round pick is 71 overall and the 5th is 128 overall).
I’d probably take the 128 overall and the early 7th myself instead of the 71 overall.</div></div>
I completely forgot Columbus also had a poor record. With that being said, I’d probably take it out the 6th and 7th, and maybe receive a 6th for next year, but the reason Elvis gets dealt is because I just don’t see him resigning with CBJ if he’s still going to be a backup and following San Jose’s way of acquiring goalies (Jones in his early 20’s via trade, Niemi in his early 20’s via trade), it makes a lot of sense for San Jose to bank on Merzlikins’ development instead of investing the same amount for a goalie who won’t grow. You add an insurance in Rinne, but it could be a bunch of backup quality goalies instead.

The 2nd round pick would be for 2022, so Philadelphia would getting something for the year after if they miss the playoffs again which I doubt with Kane in the lineup.

13th overall pick to help jump start the rebuild, and a roster player if you want to remain competitive in some fashion.
