Give Claude Another Chance At A Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>Giroux declined to go to the Avs when he went to FLA. Can't see him changing his mind now.</div></div>
Different situation then vs now, from what i had heard giroux went to FLA for the more agreeable playing time, colorados PP1 taking up 75-80% of the good minutes was mackinnon, Kadri, landeskog, rantanen and makar.
Colorados 1st line was the best in the league. He may have felt that he'd have more of an impact on the panther team.
Today giroux immediately kicks drouin off the top PP and possibly gets 5V5 with mack and rantanen

Jakob Chychrun asking for a trade from Arizona is one of the most noted, reported on, public, and talked about instances over the last few years. he stays professional, but doesn't act coy about these things. regardless, its just making stuff up and even if he does end up getting moved, pretending like there's an automatic truth to it and acting as if there's some plight of stars wanting out of this current iteration of the Sens is just wrong lol</div></div>
But this time there is no reason for him to publicly ask for a trade, he's got to wait until July 1st not extend his deal under the guise of wanting to explore free agency, then Ottawa probably trades him anyway if they're not in the playoff picture.
Then he isn't known as the PLD of the eastern coast

Well that's not what you said, and the first line in my ACGM was "pinto shouldn't be avaialble" however if he was because of some sort of issue with the sens front office (contract dispute) maybe he asks out.. after having read articles about how chycrun and most recently thacuk are unhappy and chychrun might not resign in Ottawa, I thought there could be other players who felt the same

One player is viewed as an asset (Tanev) the other is Johansen, who you just openly admitted is an overpaid bottom six centre.</div></div>
This makes little to no sense, prices go higher for players coveted around the league.. prices are whatever you can get for a "slightly overpaid" bottom 6c

The only answer i got was to the question did you actually read my trade?
Newhook. Pinto
31st. 1st 2025
37th. Behrens
Fairbrother. Kamanev
If the avs dont make the finals then the 2025 1st will be higher than 31, behrens like I said is a former second progressing well close to nhl ready, and kamenev is way better than fairbrother but he's older, fairbrother is basically a wasted contract

If in the summer the Hawks feel they need another contract to reach the cap floor, perhaps they take Johansen for free however, if Colorado is looking to move him now to acquire vap space then here will be a price to be paid and the offer above isn’t enough.</div></div>
The leagues top trade chip (tanev) just went for a 2nd and 3rd at 75% retention... and you think it'll cost a team a 2nd rd pick to take on a slightly overpaid veteran bottom 6C??

In what world is Byram fallen off this season? He's finally having a relatively healthy season 20 pts, always up in the play with the occasional defensive lapse.. he's still the 3rd best dman on the team

Chicago holds some cards, but their are other teams out there, if colorado decides to trade for a centre it's likely that ryjo goes the other way.. if not Chicago might take him based on the same reason that they signed foligino hall and perry.
Ryjo only has negative value to colorado as he's not able to play in their high speed run and gun style, guys a slightly overpaid 3c who's scoring at a 1/3ppg pace. On a slow based team their is no reason why he wouldn't be worth more than his 4mill salary (like monahan)
There is also Arizona who plans on selling at least zucker, dumba and maybe kerfoot, they are also losing 10 mill in dead cap next year they use to get to the floor.

Dude, you're way off in the value dept.. I know you said they'd need to add more but the pens would have to add a centrepiece to this trade.
Ned could be had for minimum a 3rd max a 2nd.. Byram would cost you a 22year old nhl centrman with roughly the same potential and cost control
Ned is a UFA in 20 games that he'll maybe play 5 of

Moving out colton for mercer would be silly, colton is exceeding my expectations at least, re signing mercer would be very difficult to fit him into the team next season. Also it doesn't look like he plays much centre, with colton having 322 faceoff wins and mercer 117 faceoff wins comparatively
