Boeser Move
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilersfan05</b></div><div>Might have to be an offseason move then.</div></div>
It’s not that it doesn’t fit this season, it doesn’t fit next year or the year after that. We currently have $9.3M in cap space to fill out 9 roster spots for next year. Adding Boeser to that mix isn’t feasible without major retention, which we are not going to pay for with top picks or prospects either.

Jakob chychrun
That Chychrun trade is something else. A bunch of cap dumps and roster clearing moves, Niemela, and a late 1st for a top 4 D with a good contract, a decent goalie, and a good middle 6 C . Call me crazy, but I'm fairly certain there are about 20 other teams that can do better for Chychrun.

A pending UFA in Kerfoot, A prospect that's 2-3 years in Minten on top he's a 3C and a 2024 1st round pick 2 drafts away and we retain 50% on Larkin. Once again it's a joke of an offer. Hell Patrick Kane gets more than this worthless crap. Once again Detroit passes with extreme prejudice.

He's been passed (at least for now) by other LD's Bolduc/Aho/Wotherspoon. Salo was given first crack at the beginning of the year but it didn't click right away. Isles "top" prospects IMO are Dufour, Bolduc, Iskhakov, Maggio, Odelius, George in no real particular order.

It's likely to be neither Broberg nor Holloway: Holland has been very adamant about both young men being virtually untouchable. If he's moving one of our top prospects, it'll be Xavier Bourgault.

There would likely be some sort of rotation for the rest of the regular season, then come playoffs being able to slot Holl in would be incredibly valuable should someone get injured. A fourth round pick wouldn't provide much value to the Leafs as it would take 3-4 years to develop if it turns into any sort of player at all to begin with.

Meier McCabe Barbashev
Can we stop with Meier? It’s unrealistic. He’s going to NJ or NYR. It would be nice, sure, mcdavid would be nice. The leafs don’t have the best assets apart from knies who I personally do not think we should trade. The leafs need help in the bottom six and barbashev is a good idea too. Also McCabe. Where do they put him? The only logical place is in place of holl who they trade in the package for McCabe, but then he plays on his off side, where? On the second pair? Bumping down liljegren who has been great? All of this seems too far fetched and getting a defenceman that isn’t bottom pair/7th d is impractical imo. Barbashev, lafferty, comtois, o Rielly, all relatively low priced forwards that wouldn’t be overly expensive and have low cap hits (ROR $3.75M with retention). It’s the better way imo.

I just want Barrie’s contract to expire before they sign him to a 4.6x5 contract. They can get away with underpaying him for a year but they will run the price up by 2 million per year on the next contract like nurse if they go intermediate term.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilersfan05</b></div><div>I heard Edmundson has really slowed down as of late whether its injury or age. A first round pick for him would be outragous.</div></div>
I believe it's a lingering back issue but can't remember where I heard it.
He started the season late and that was probably too early, so he hasn't had the time to rehab properly.
No idea why he kept coming back in and re-injuring himself in a season that doesn't matter. Perhaps trying to show his value for a trade, but it ended up backfiring.
He may have been worth a 1st, but repeated injuries have lowered his value and he was never able to get up to speed after the late start to the season.
He's a bit of a risk at this point, but could be a bargain pick up for 2 playoff runs to a team willing to take that chance and let him get back to full health before this year's playoffs.
Conditional pick (games played/rounds won) and an expiring contract could work. A 1st/2nd if the conditions are met this season, deferred to a 2nd/3rd next year if the conditions are not met (or something along those lines). Mitigates the risk somewhat in case he's not fit for playoffs.

Pretty sure it the recent injury. It looks like Habs don’t want him as he will be on the block at the deadline. I bet he goes for like a 6th.

No he doesn't get the Horvat return, Horvat was traded out of the west to the east. Larkin is being traded within the division greater return. You honestly think that if Horvat was traded to Seattle that it would be a similar return as the Islanders. The answer is NO.

What is the value of o Reilly
O'Reilly would probably cost a 1st (not necessarily the 2023 one)+ a 3rd + a B-prospects, maybe if the Leafs send Holmberg+two 2nds instead of a first on top the Blues would accept. O'Reilly is willing to resign with the Blues at a discount, short-term, so he probably doesn't get traded unless he gets a good haul.
Below is my lengthy response to "What's the value of Rielly?" 😂
Can probably get a good haul out of him, like the <em>Chychrun ask more or less. There might not be so many suitors considering his cap hit, which isn't high, but many teams wouldn't be able to make it work. There's also his NMC clause. So, would probably be getting offers no worth moving him for presently.
I think the only team I think that might be in on him is Seattle-they were interested in Klingberg but maybe they don't have a spot for Rielly on the left- and LA who is after a LD but they probably would need to move some major pieces to make the cap work. He might be too offensive for them too but he could probably pair well with Roy. There's also bound to be a team or two who has cap that would be interested in adding him like Ana, Det, and Buf but it would be of they can get him "for the right price". Vancouver could be an option too if they buyout OEL, and the Leafs are taking back Myers (with some retention)+Garland back.</em>
