What Id do
Make it Rooney instead of Duehr and Calgary probably accepts. Toronto gains 800k (more like 1.6 mil if they bury Rooney) cap space in 24-25 2.1 mil in 25-26 and a depth player for 24-25 who can easily be buried in the minors at minimal cost in cap space.
Edit: Hunt would work for Calgary too and his full cap hit can be buried but I figured Toronto could use a depth player who can play center or wing more than a LW like Hunt.

Cuppa Trades
Four out of the five defensemen Philly has under team control for next season are left-handed and three of them can purportedly play the right side, so I don't see a building team like the Flyers investing significant assets in an expensive lame duck Chychrun. There will probably be multiple teams that offer Ottawa a first and a second (or the equivalent) for Chychrun, but I'd be willing to bet Philadelphia isn't one of them.

Flames Offseason
1. Calgary would have to really like Wahlstrom. Considering how underwhelming he's been so far that's unlikely.
2. No.
3. No. Hunt is an affordable depth player who doesn't complain when he's not in the lineup. They might put him on waivers sometime next year but they won't just give him away when they might still need him.
4. Ditto what <a href="/users/KingofRnR" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@KingofRnR</a> said. Adding to that NJD would only consider that at the draft if there's nobody they really like left when their turn comes up.
5. No. It'll cost more than a late 1st for anyone to take on Campbell's contract and Calgary isn't a team that'll be taking on any bad contracts with that much term. A 1 year contract sure maybe, but not 3 years at 5 mil per.

If Sharangovich wants to leave
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Marcsnack</b></div><div>During exit interviews, his response about extending was quite odd. Seems like he might wanna go elsewhere to extend.</div></div>
That's pure speculation, players are always unhappy at exit interviews when they don't make the playoffs. But Calgary isn't selling low on him either, he makes 3M and every contender will be calling about him. Your offer is ok but outside of Broz it's really not that enticing

Definitely a HARD NO to the TOR Trade</div></div>
I am a Leafs fan, and that is a abolutely terrible for Calgary.
1. Andersson's contract for what he does is phenomenal. Perhaps one of the best contracts in the NHL right now.
2. Magniapane at $2.9 million would be a steal imo. He is the kind of mucky player the Leafs do need, but....
3. And two picks?🤣
4. if you go waaaaay back in my profile you will find my arguments why Marner never was, never has been or never will be worth $11 million. He is great sure. Not $11 million worth of it.
If I were Conroy, I would find it hard to justify moving Andersson for Marner straight up....... just because of the contracts.
Most fans valuation of Marner is absurd. This is just another case.

Couple big trades and UFA signings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shaun80</b></div><div>Kk has the potential to be the next Sharky, and if not he's dirt cheap to buy out. Sharky made it sound like he doesn't want to stick around so we might as well move him now. He's not near as valuable as Necas as he is a UFA after next season.</div></div>
KK is an overpaid bottom 6 player with 6 years left on his contract. 6 years is not dirt cheap to buy out. Sharky as he said just doesn't know, he hasn't been in Calgary very long and extension talks haven't even started with him yet. It's good that he was honest instead of copping out with the standard BS answer "I love it here and I want to stay" most players give to those questions... Toffoli for example everywhere he goes it's "I love it here, my wife loves it here and we want to stay here" but when he doesn't immediately get offered a big raise with plenty of term as a 32 year old pending UFA he suddenly wants a trade.
Necas is an arbitration eligible RFA who can just sign his QO and be UFA a year or two from now too. He's only 6 months younger than Sharky so age isn't a factor. Production is similar this year with Sharky actually being ahead a little bit with 7 goals and 6 points more in 5 more games played (Necas missed 5 games this year, Sharky played all 82).

Miromanov and weegar have been great together. I'd leave that pairing alone, brodie and andersson might work but I think their are better and younger options for a LD to pair with him. Easy pass on Dumba.

Stevie is probably one of the best centers available though, he's going to get paid.

Moore -- Danault -- Arvidsson/Fiala have been our most effective and consistent line since January 1, 2023. That's right, 2023, not 2024. We won't be trading him unless you don't like Zeev Buium at 4th overall.

Kylington definitely should be paired with Weegar or Andersson. I'd prefer him with Weegar but until we find another top 4 LD (likely not until the offseason) it makes sense to keep Weegar at LD.
Forward lines are a bit of a work in progress. Can't really do much about them until the this summer when hopefully Conroy can weaponize all that cap space and trade assets to sign or trade for some good players to fill the holes. Centers and right shot forwards with some speed and skill who aren't small compete and work hard.
What'd be really nice is to pick up a true sniper, a goal scorer who's dangerous shooting from just about anywhere in the offensive zone and can change games. Calgary hasn't had one of those in a long time. A big physical top 6 power forward (even a left shot) would be nice too, someone who forechecks, hit's hard, is a disruptive net front presence and gets some greasy goals.

No chance Calgary does that not even without the retention. Coleman has more goals and more points than Batherson this year. On top of which Coleman is a much grittier far better two way player who is hard to play against and an important veteran leader for Calgary too.

Calgary accepts.
It's funny how Devils fans keep talking about Mercer like he's a sure fire top 6 center yet they don't want to pay him like one. If that's all they offer him some team might present him with an offer sheet in the $4,290,126 - $6,435,186 range which requires a 1st and a 3rd for compensation.
An offer sheet for $4,290,125 would only require a 2nd for compensation but NJ would match that.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingofRnR</b></div><div>This is a Fair Deal that SJS win in the long-run. VEG gets a decent player with term but he’s 30, so likely only has a couple decent season left in him whereas SJS get a 1st + Top Prospect, which may become a Star and they open up Cap Space to sign a Younger Player that fits their rebuild
Not a Fan of Grier as a Manager, but I don’t mind this one for the Sharks</div></div>
I agree. He's not worth $6.75 million now and he likely won't be getting better. A 1st and a good prospect for a bad deal and two thirds seems really good.
