Why would Sharangovich want to leave CGY where he gets ample TOI and PP opportunities!?

Seems like many players prefer to not play in Calgary. Lindholm turned down a fortune that he'll never see again to get out.

Yeah, we’ve been ridding ourselves of players who are no longer interested in being Flames, but Markstrom is probably the last guy left wanting out…

Lindholm gambled on himself and lost, good riddance to him. Flames are building a new arena and the Team is content again, with Kadri & Weegar outwardly communicating their desire to stay & win in CGY, so the times are a changing and Calgary is quickly becoming a much more desirable City to play in

During exit interviews, his response about extending was quite odd. Seems like he might wanna go elsewhere to extend.

That's pure speculation, players are always unhappy at exit interviews when they don't make the playoffs. But Calgary isn't selling low on him either, he makes 3M and every contender will be calling about him. Your offer is ok but outside of Broz it's really not that enticing

they just signed Broz they aren't going to trade him.
No team does that, unless a player forces it.

Sharangovich would be interesting, but I'm not sure they could resign him either.

I personally like Calgary a lot. But I'm sure life as a pro hockey player is quite different. Higher taxes and zero privacy probably do make it unpleasant relative to other US market options.

He doesn't. When asked if he's going to stay in Calgary wasn't sure. That's simply the truth, extension talks haven't even started yet so he really doesn't know what's going to happen. He's been a good fit so Calgary will make him a decent offer and won't consider moving him unless they get a really good offer.

Konecny coming go Calgary…Philly not gonna give him what he wants. They’re looking for younger players/picks. Who would you trade to acquire TK? Or would you not want him?

Not sure what the issue is. Likely they and/or their wives/girlfriends want to be in better climates where they can drive lambos and where swimsuits daily or it’s the old arena, dressing room and facilities or they don’t like or agree with the ownership/management situation. Sutter’s gone, so can’t use that as an excuse anymore lol

Taxes are no higher in Calgary than New York or California, but yeah, less privacy in Canadian markets for sure. We love our hockey and know our players
