Shedding Term Ideas
You really haven't changed, Nashless...
1. Hurricanes won't accept Klein and Clendening in exchange for Hainsey and Murphy. Clendening is an unproven rookie and Klein is just bad.
2. I have no idea what your problem with Nash is, but that Sharks trade is abysmal. Firstly, Nash still has 1st line potential. Trading him for someone who you've put on the fourth line is just downright stupid. As for the second part of that deal, I have no idea how you think the Sharks would take Lindberg for Donskoi (and if you say because of the Nash/Marleau exchange, it isn't worth it).
3. The Avalanche aren't giving up Duchene, and if they were it definitely wouldn't be at that price.

It's going to take a lot more than that to fix your goalie expansion draft problem AND acquire an elite defenseman at the same time.

To be honest this isn't that bad. My only critique is that Zibanejad won't sign for that small of a price. Something around 4 million sounds more accurate.

Trade ideas for fluery
The value would actually be really mediocre for Fleury considering everyone knows that they need to get rid of Fleury to save Murray... Penguins look desperate and everyone will want to take advantage of them

McDonagh Burns
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nashless</b></div><div><i><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KreiderToBuchnevich</b></div><div><i>Marleau is at the end of his career. This only weakens our offense. McDonagh is about equal to Burns and 4 years younger. And why even bother with Donskoi? Our forward depth right now is incredible, and there is no reason to trade for him. All around terrible trade for the Rangers.
We look at the player-for-player comparisons and you get:
Nash (32) for Marleau (37)
McDonagh (27) for Burns (31)
and there is just no point in getting Donskoi and giving up Lindberg. It accomplishes nothing.</i></div></div> Have you ever seen Donskoi or Burns play, like last years playoffs? Lindberg will never be in our top 12 and Nash has to go this year, hopefully Before the POs.</i></div></div>
Why? Nash is having a fine season so far. No reason to trade him for someone close to retirement. I did watch them last year during the playoffs, but if getting rid of McDonagh is what it takes to exchange Lindberg for Donskoi, it just isn't worth it.
And even if you were right about any of what you said (which you mostly aren't), Marleau has a NMC, and Burns, McDonagh, and Nash all have Modified-NTCs. This trade is completely unfeasible. The only part that could be done is the Lindberg for Donskoi part, of which would never get accepted by the SJS.

Then they expose Rask? Also Malcom Subban is pretty bad. Vegas wouldn't want him anyway.

If you are trading Fleury in 2017-2018, you won't have Murray. He'd get taken in the expansion draft.

You won't have Murray AND Fluery by the start of next season. Either trade Fluery now or lose Murray in the expansion draft.

Don't let the strong start fool anyone
Our goaltending has been far from "lights-out." Up until last night, we've dominated every game we've played. Simple solution is to bench Girardi or Holden. Also getting rid of Klein (of whom is our 2nd best defenseman) for mediocre draft picks is far from a solution to fixing our defense. Not to mention Dallas is in a "win-now" mode. The last thing they need is a future goaltender. They need a present goaltender.

Sometimes player start rough also due to long offseasons. Give him some time. He also played RD for us last year and he was much better. So slot him on the right side and see how it goes.
And I didnt even mention that he got paired with a bottom 5 defenseman in the league (girardi) for most of the preseason. Hard to expect a rookie to carry an anchor (and our D has several)</i></div></div>
Skjei wasn't in those long offseasons. Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, but he was still in Hartford at the time.
