It's a fantasy dynasty (cap) league. I like to keep track here, as it gives a nice place to organize your roster.

It's very doubtful that the Blackhawks can stay healthy. If Seabrook or Shaw spend any time on the IR it frees up a lot of cash and there are a couple of players in Rockford chomping at the bit. I could see Beaudin, Gilbert or Carlsson making the jump on D. Pius Suter is a bit of an unknown upfront. Fortin or Kurashev could also have a shot.

Ideally, I think you trade TVR because he has more value, but isn't exceptionally better than either of those two.
I agree that Forsling starts with the team, but they'll only give him a handful of games before he goes back to the SHL (a big part is Keith not ready to start the season).
I really hope Mashinter doesn't make it, and someone like Hartman/McNeill can fill that role with much more skill.
This is a very likely opening roster.

MAYBE
No way Edmonton gives up that much for Seabrook's brutal contract. I could see Seabrook eventually landing in Edmonton but that hinges on whether he waives his no trade clause.
Right now Seabrook straight up for Yak would be more feasible, and even then...

Panarin $6 for 6
Sorry, I hadn't adjusted the D in terms of where they should be slotted in. I focused more on who would make the team.
I think Kruger would be a valuable fit to any team, not just expansion. Granted he has very limited offensive ability, but he is one of the best at what he does defensively.
Sweden had probably the next best roster at the WCH next to Canada, and it's no mistake that Kruger is on that team.
His cap hit isn't very nice for teams like Chicago, but that won't hurt a team like Vegas at all.

Patches scored 39 goals alongside David Desharnais. Panarin scored 30 alongside Kane. Invert the scenarios and Patches scores 50 and Panarin gets 20.</i></div></div>
I'm guessing you didn't watch Panarin much last year.
Panarin opens up so much space for Kane and is a huge reason why he ran away with scoring title last year.

Hawks Opening Lineup
They'll have Pokka the rest of the season, but with Forsling they have to use him at the start of the season or not at all. Pokka will get multiple looks throughout the season and will be the first call up with an injury.
I agree Gus is NHL ready, but I guess the philosophy is to load up on young D.
There are also a pile of young pro vets that have legit chances of making the team up front: Hinostroza, McNeill, Kero, Lundberg, and even Baun.
Rockford will be a revolving door.
I'd prefer Rozsival going on the LTIR after running into the zamboni which would open up some more options, but coach Q has a bit of a man crush.

Thoughts
I think Gustafsson would probably make the team over Svedberg, but they'll probably choose to go with two extra Forwards instead of D (so as not to lose guys through waivers to start the season).
I also think they'll give Lundberg some time in Rockford to get acclimated to the N. American ice but he'll eventually be called up.

Not really the place to post point predictions. There are many other boards where you can do that .

Malkin would cost a buttload more than that
Hjalmarsson's value is worth way more than that by himself as well. Heck, TT was worth more and he was attached with Bickell

I can't imagine Weise will only get $850 as an UFA, especially after he wasn't utilized in coach Q's roster as a healthy scratch.
This roster is barely over the cap but has only 20 players listed (minimum is 22).

CHI - Cap Casualties ONLY
I disagree. I think this team definitely makes the playoffs.
Kind of funny that the Hawks casualties are $18 million over the cap and so many Hawks fans grumble when players are moved - as if Bowman could somehow resign all of these guys and stay under the cap.

Looks good. Although I think Kruger will eat up some of that extra cap space. Plus, I think McNeill will make the team on the right-side ahead of Tropp and you're more apt to see Pokka up compared to Svedberg... all minor differences in opinion.

Probably a lower-tier team, but they'd compete and probably won't finish last in the NHL.
