no point to the vancouver trade, they would get better prospects for tanev from other playoff bound teams.

Agreed, especially if youre not taking back Ryan contract, the price will be much higher and the pieces need to be much much better.
if im SEN and im look at BOS, Im gunna want Heinen, BJork, Carlo, and 1st. No conditionals, if he doesnt resign with the team, he doesnt resign with the team. thats not my problem at that point. youre not gunna pay less just cause you want him as a rental or let him walk in free agency. but if there needs to be condiotnals in the trade, ill add a conditional 1st. if he resigns i get another 1st from BOS.

2018-19 Chicago Blackhawks With Max Pacioretty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stan_Bowman</b></div><div>You know MTL is going to be told to F off for that price.</div></div>
I think the census around the league is that Stan is kinda in the position he has never been in before. Where he kinda does have to make a move to keep his job, or at least these other GM's think so. So they think they can get him to overpay for the "teams needs" because the mounting pressure by not just the organization but the fans too.
I think thats why we keep seeing/hearing him basically say nothing when interviewed. "we might make a trade, we might not" "im confident in this current roster, we have excitement in the room with these current players and we think we can have a very good bounce back year" while everyone around him and the fans are probably like "dude, WTF are you talking about?!" hes probably trying to make it seem like he doesnt need anything, and wont be pressured into overpaying for something because the league thinks at the end of the day he will crack to make a move because hes in the hot seat.
if thats true is a crap ton of cloak and dagger under the table type of play.
Bergivan has been pretty bad for years, looks like he isnt going anywhere. and CAR looks like they finally got a good team on paper since the 06 team. So i dont think they will take anything less than the asking price. or they just wont make the moves.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>100% agreed. Every team is looking at the Duchene deal saying...MTL needs to get this, but no one realizes how HORRIBLE of a trade that was.</div></div>
For real, I've always been like "why won't these big deals happen with 1st rounders happen in the offseason, or early in the season...." now we all know why lol.
if the Hawks do make any more moves with the cap space, I've been reading some of the hawks beat writers say like just go back to get like more cheapish depth scoring. like guys that could work up and down the line up since Q loves to juggle everything, even if things are going well... some of the players they mentioned were: Versteeg (Bowman loves his old hawks), Cammalleri, Letestu, and then obviously if Rick Nash decides later he still wants to keep playing go after him. But I don't really see anymore trading. Or at least nothing that would make a wow factor to show the team is significantly better.
Hawks are on the downhill, I don't see cup runs in their future, especially now that the Central is way more stacked than ever.

I dont think its enough, I really think MTL would get a better offer from another team. I seriously see the best CHI would offer MTL is Anisimov, 1st, and maybe a mid tier prospect. and want picks back with Patches. but I just think the HAWKS wont give a 1st since its not lookin real confident this is a for sure playoff team (they shouldnt deal the first untill a trade deadline deal, make sure they are in a good spot), and arnt really looking to give up anymore prospects. and some other team has more assets to offer that are probably more enticing than what the hawks are willing to part with.
at the end of the day i DONT see CHI landing Skinner, Faulk, or Patches.

I don’t think cam would waive his NMC. Like I think he’s just content staying here. Not that he wouldn’t go to DAL but I think he’d just rather not be bothered by leaving
But maybe. Depends how much he wants to win a cup again. My initial reaction is he just don’t want to move.

Who should the hawks get for schmaltz
I think any trade for Panarin is gonna have to start with Debrincat as the initial piece in the trade.
And I really hope we don’t trade schmaltz just for the whole “win with the core now” cause then we will be completely depleated in top line potential prospects.

i got a weird feeling that at the end of the day dorian would rather get less back and have ryan money gone, then get the fullest return possible for karlsson.
I just feel like melnyk cares more about the money than any of the players at this point

Adding to the D
i dont see how those two trades help the hawks this coming season and in the future after seabrook and keith. the d thats gunna be the future after seabrook and keith are already in our system boquist, beaudin, Jokiharju, mitchell, hillman, etc.... i dont see the reason to trade one of those guys in Mitchell to get basically one of those young type of players back that youd have to pay sooner. when keith and seabs arnt going anywhere for another 5/6 years.
and look at the stats for forsling vs fleury and demelo vs rutta. both hawks players have same points for more points in less games with far more significant ice times. that kinda shows that those players are a little bit moreso ready for the nhl now. not taking on additional d prospects to an already overflowing hawks defensive prospect pool. i get that they have a "higher potential ceiling" but again, we have plenty of that already in the system.

his contract is just like Tavares: "buyout proof" and "Retire Proof". the only thing thats kind of saving it is the last two years of his contract is a M-NTC 5 teams then 10 team trade lists. but at that point with his age, cap hit, and probably production.... thats gunna be a hard move.

its gunna be super depressing when we cant pay to keep jokiharju, Boqust, Beaudin, Mitchell, or Krys because they will end up being "too rich for us" and we have to pay seabrook
because one or two of those guys will be that good, but we wont have the cap.
i hope the cap gets to like 90 mil within 3-5 years so its not an issue.

Karlsson
this is the only deal that honestly works out for Dorion in my book. But the Price would be Girard, Compher, and OTT 1st. and if they can squeak in Kamenev do it. but the only real way to get the best possible return for Karlsson is the best possible win for Jack Hughes.
it will be absolutely hilarious if the lose karlson for a really low 1st round pick and a couple of pretty decent prospects. lose Duchene to FA or another bad trade and then Aves win Jack Hughes..,

Also, I doubt the team sells at even close to 500 million.</div></div>
they wouldn't sell for 500, with all the debt they'd have to pay back its probably close to around 500 to get everything out of the red, including the 370 mil purchase of the team.
also, just cause there are buyers, doesn't mean Melnyk is selling. I'm pretty sure I recall TSN saying Melnyk isn't interested in selling the team.

I don’t think just cause they get a new owner means all of a sudden they have money and the history sh*t storm that is there automatically all goes away.
The team is worth around 370 million. From all the budget news that has come out it sounds like they are in about 100 mil or debt. Idk of many corporations that got about 500 million laying around in surplus cash that want a downward trending franchise in a poor Canadian dollar market
