I wish haha but no I'm not Andy Lehoux and don't know him personally

Start where we left off
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>I mean we could just buy Alzner out. Let him sign anywhere else he wants. The cap penalty is cheaper than anything else we'd get in trade or then using him in the AHL where he doesn't want to be.
The buyout is cheaper than retaining 50% and getting another contract back we don't want. Just let him go.</div></div>
would you prefer retain 2,4 or so for 3 years or pay all this for the next 6 years... IMO It's better to retain 50% since we don't need much cap space now...

What is Danault worth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Price_is_the_goat</b></div><div>sounds about right. though i think the habs would prefer a younger LHD and a pick.</div></div>
100 this, Välimäki has to be the price tag....
The problem with moving Danaultis that he's from Quebec and, just like Drouin, he has more value to the habs than to anyone else. MB would take so much heat from moving him that it would need to be a homerun!

Why are some NHL players so self centered
Well he will be playing the game he loves but somewhere he likes too! :P
The NCAA free agency is the problem here IMO, I just don't get why they have the luxury to be free agent at the end of their college career and others from all other leagues don't.

I though the cap dump of Eaves would help and that's the kind of deal Montreal is looking for.

Interresting value in that package, I don't know Hutton that much though. Is he really an upgrade over Reilly? An upgrade that worth Hudon and a mid-2nd rd pick??

Particularly like the first one. Gives a second start to Hudon and clears salary for EDM while providing assets to MTL. Will see this summer if we buy out Spooner or not... nice job.
I'm not really sold on Martinez though, I wouldn't make any other change to the habs line-up this year and develop through the draft. We never know, maybe this summer the habs sign Jimmy Schuldt out of St-Cloud along with Poehling and all of the sudden, we have a great top 4 in the making with Brook making the jump to the AHL/NHL next year.

Maybe... I wouldn't because of the length of Alzner's contract but hey, if they want to... I don't think that Buffalo is in a cap crunch this year or the next so I don't think they mind keeping these 2 contracts but 3 or 4 years down the road, who knows.

i would bet they offer Hudon for him and keep the pick. Just not sure if he fits the need that the habs have at 4th line C.

he's a Steve Ott type you give up a 3rd-4th rounder for and nothing else .</div></div>
He will be in high demand at the TDL and still has term on his contract so the wings doesn't even have to move him now if they don't have the price they want. I honestly tought I was buying a little low on that one... Will see, he would definatly meet a need that we have and for the years to come!

Remember that Kotkaniemi is staying at Niemi's place this year so IMO not a chance that we trade him this year. But we could simply flip Talbot while retaining 50% and keep Niemi.
