Obviously not but they need a starting goalie for the rebuild and HIrvonen is a nice prospect, Anderson is a nice young bottom 6 guy.

Very fair I actually agree. I just wanted to show that we can afford to add multiple top 6 wingers and still add to the 3rd line with some cheaper grinders. Maybe we just target a top 6 guy with a year left like a Max Domi/Boone Jenner or something.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MatthewsFan</b></div><div>Liljegren made opponents look silly with dekes to open up passing and shooting lanes this season with the Marlies. Nothing but time this year, got a AHL package. Plus I have season tix to the Marlies. I’ve watched him a ton.
He has been breaking out of the Marlies’ zone effectively and jumping into the play to create opportunities off the rush.
But I’ll take Greg Moore’s word of advice since he coaches and sees him everyday, said “ he's seen major improvement in Timothy Liljegren's offensive game.
He says the 21-year-old is presenting himself as more of a threat at the offensive blue line and that "there's a lot of exciting attributes about him."</div></div>
Im aware that hes been elite in the AHL, but that doesnt always translate to NHL success and in the NHL hes looked a bit paniced with the puck at times. There will definitely be growing pains there and having him and Sandin both having growing pains on the same pair could cost the Leafs a series. Both have top 4 potential in the long term though.

Rielly Brodie
Muzzin Liljegren
Sandin Holl/Bogo
Or some other setup but he will be given a chance next year. They have spent a lot of time to develop him, they did not do that for another team to enjoy that success.</div></div>
It wont be success, it will be years of struggling before he becomes a reliable d man in the NHL. I could be wrong but I've seen him play plenty of times, hes shaky with the puck and is prone to Gardiner like giveaways.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MatthewsFan</b></div><div>Dubas just traded away at the deadline:
1st, two 4ths, a 3rd, a 6th, a 5th. They are in no position to trade away even more futures right now. Especially the one RD prospect who looks ready to play next year.
They either trade away Kerfoot or Rielly to fill in the positional gaps at LW, C or through FA signings.</div></div>
Liljegren is ready but if we want to win we do not want Sandin-Liljegren to be our bottom pair. There will be plenty of growing pains with those two together. We also need another PK option on the backend, unlikely Liljegren makes the team even if we keep him. We also have Niemela who IMO is going to be better than Lilj.
But I do agree the 1st for Jenner is rather aggressive. Id like to keep that 1st and draft but I realistically know they are just gonna use it at the trade deadline anyways. We could alwyas try and sign a Granlund from UFA for 3C instead but I much prefer Jenner.

I think its more likely if the leafs do get Konecny it will be a 3 way trade where Philly gets Jones we get Konecny and Colombus gets Amirov+Liljegren or something like that.

Saad and Coleman are nice grinders but on a good team they are 3rd line. We do need to add some grind forsure but we also need some skill in our top 6.

That's a deal worth discussing for Detroit.
Detroit have no need to trade Bertuzzi, he fills a top-6 spot for at least three more years with how few prospects we have. That makes him expensive to pry away from us.
It's not about one for one value, it's about any buyer having to offer enough to change Detroit's mind about wanting to keep Bertuzzi.
He won't be traded unless you're willing to overpay, and do so bigly.</div></div>
Usually the truth lies somewhere in the middle of two fanbases. That trade is too much for Bertuzzi.

For a team like the leafs that are in win now mode and are cap strapped its pretty likely.

Amirov is a high end prospect, the value is definitely fair its just a matter of if Detroit wants to move Bertuzzi for futures or young roster players. Liljegren could play in the NHL right now easily. Amirov is prob still 1-2 more season away.

Vancouver would definitely want Rielly lets not kid ourselves. But I doubt they would want to give up a high pick in this years draft. They would be much more likely to give up a 2022 pick and even that would have to be lotto protected.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drmantalban</b></div><div>He’s very solid. I’ve wanted him on the wild for years now. He’s good on faceoffs, plays with a nasty edge but not cheap, natural goal scorer, good hands. For his contract, he’s incredibly desirable. FWIW, I’ve put proposals that have dumba + 1st for Dvorak, and ppl still say no. So I’m honestly not sure on what his valuation actually is. I think TOR has a very nice piece in Kerfoot, so that might be an edge. I can just see many teams wanting him and the packages would get pretty competitive.</div></div>
Dumba and a 1st feels like good value for Dvo. Some think of Dumba as an actual negative player though so depending on who you ask his value could vary. I do agree we would need to give up more than Kerfoot, probably Liljegren as well or something like that. And realistically if Arizona isnt interested in moving him, he wont move.
