Thats facts. And I'm not even gonna argue, Stone is overall the best winger in the league IMO

Damn 8 years, it’s gonna be alright for the first 2 years but every year after that is low key a steal for the Coyotes. They have hella good youngins and are gonna be scary in the future

I could honestly see us letting Dillon go to free agency and bring up Ferraro if Dillon doesn't decide to sign for 3mil or less

Sharks 2019-2020 v5
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NJ11</b></div><div>For the Jets, I feel this trade makes sense because they get cap relief, their RHD for the future alongside a 2nd rounder and Sorenson who scored 17 goals last year as well. Though the Jets lose a very good player the 2nd rounder and Merkley definitely gives them flexibility as they can easily resign their top RFA's while adding useful pieces they can develop or flip to address other organizational needs. From the sharks perspective, they part with some of their valuable assets but in return receive a cost control top-line winger who will instantly fill a position of need while being on an excellent contract. Additionally, for the sharks, this gives them a young core of Hertl, Meier, and Ehlers upfront which is very good too build around as the old guard ages out. Though they lose their best prospect, this gives the sharks the best chance to compete for a cup over the next two seasons before they'll have to blow it up and go through a rebuild/retool.</div></div>
I actually really like the logic here and I totally agree with it and I’ve been an advocate for Ehlers for a while now and I would be super excited if this trade went through, but unfortunately Merkley is definitely untouchable for Doug Wilson because he’s the only A/A+ prospect we have. I love Ehlers and I think this would be a great trade and set us up well for the future, but everyone is super keen on Merkley that I don’t think anyone on this website is gonna agree with me

You say that like Kane is a bad player. Putting up 30 goals and playing heavy minutes on the pk (when he's not in the box) while being a very solid 2 way winger is pretty damn good in this league

*Shattenkirk 1.75 for 1 year* oof
Also, Marleau is still getting paid from his last year of the 6.25 mil contract from Toronto this season, so he’d be fine signing with the Sharks for league minimum considering he’ll still be getting his old salary this season after he got bought out

SJ 19-20 v2
Ahhhh Labanc is practically untouchable on that contract as his ceiling is very high, and Merkley is our top prospect, and is needed to finish off our RD side for the next 3 or so years before we have to get rid of someone like Burns

Also we have a lot of great prospects that will probably make the lineup out of camp, so we don’t need a bunch of free agents

Puljujärvi isn’t a bad choice, he just needs a fresh scenery to try and have a fresh start. Marleau would bring in a great mentor ship for some kids on the 4th, but I personally don’t think we should add him on top of Thornton. However, the Stone choice, I’m a little confused about. Also, Chicago definitely matches that not do I think Perkins even signs that, he would get more money from a cap strapped Chicago

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WellIDK</b></div><div>They aren't saying the Penguins trade is that bad. But why would they trade a solid defenseman to get rid of Johnson in return for a 7th. And then you flip Johnson along with a 5th for a 6th. If the Pens could trade Johnson and a 5th instead of adding a defenseman, they would do it right now. Those trades favor San Jose big time</div></div>
You’re right, what would be needed for just Petterson do you think ?
