Not cool my dude.... using career stats? That’s just a step to far.
Well if he wants to use career stats then maybe he should look at Toews career point totals then Kopitar Kopitar has ALWAYS produced more while playing a very good defensive game. Also I'm pretty sure Kopitar has more Selkes.

When it comes to points and goals, you should always look at PGP, GPG. FO% and +/- are applicable as career totals.
Kopitar has 126 more games...he better have better points and goals then Toews, but since you mentioned, Toews does have 327 goals to Kopitars 312 goals

Since you mentioned it, Kopitar is not a goal scorer he is a playmaker most of his point production comes from assists. He also has put up 20-30 points more than Toews almost every year.
But to add to your goals point, should I be making the argument Carter is better than Toews because he has more goals? Lol.

No, you should measure a player by GPG and PPG. Toews has .86 points per game, Kopitar has .88 points per game. So as much as you claim Kopitar is a playmaker and his points come from assists, well Toews and Kopitar are about dead even in point production. So not sure where you're going with that argument other then claiming assists are more important then goals? If that's your case that's incorrect.

How are they dead even in point production? Go on hockey reference and look at Toews yearly point totals then look at Kopitars. Toews has multiple 50 and 60 point seasons while Kopitar has multiple 70 and 80 point seasons. Are you brain dead?
Which player has more CUPS? Which has more Conn Smythe's?
That doesn't really put Toews over Kopi lol. He has one more cup and if you look at Kopitars performance in both cup runs he was a serious candidate for the Conn Smythe lol
