Not the 35th, but I would do the OTT 44th.

It would have to be one of the earlier 2nd round picks for it to be considered

I think the trade for the Vancouver #11 is incorporating in some cap relief and adjusting the draft picks Vancouver gets to lesser picks.

Value is fine imho, I think it depends on who is available at 11 for the Canucks to move the pick tho.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan03</b></div><div>Yea I just figured maybe khaira could be good little cap spot in bottom 6, and I agree for compher literally just being from Illinois and a bit of money I thought would convince him long term if he believes this team are contenders themselves within 3-5 years. Bunting definitely deserves more that’s my bad he probably won’t wanna play with us, maybe a overpay and tell him he can be moved to a playoff team within a year.</div></div>
Yeah Compher definitely fits the bill in that regard. I struggle to see KD handing out anything more than a 2-3 year deal this off season tbh.

Think Bunting will want more long term security. He deserves it tbh.
Khaira I think we can safely move on from.
Zucker is a good move IMO and Compher would be also but can't see him not being picked up by a contender.

Youngsters with bedard
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jco5ta5</b></div><div>Why does Korchinski need to be in NHL? Is there a rule he can’t go AHL or is this just your opinion?</div></div>
Yeah its a rule. I think it's something like, if they are under 20 they have to go back to their junior club if they don't stick at the NHL level. The junior clubs invest a lot in their rosters too, and they want to hang on to their players as long as they can. So, the agreement was reached to set an age limit. I'm not positive on all the details, though. He won't even be 20 until June 2025. So, the soonest he could play in the AHL is the 2025-2026 season. Which, he should be in the NHL by then anyway. So, I don't think he'll see much, if any, of the AHL.

For that money, I’d honestly rather pay Max Domi than Monahan.</div></div>
Korchinski has to play in the NHL next season or else he has to go back to Junior. The AHL isn't an option for him. Maybe a few games, but they'll be forced to send him down at a certain point if they aren't going to keep him in the NHL.

Can the Hawks retain on Domi, don't you only get two retentions a year and they did on Kane and McCabe. Maybe i'm wrong.

Chicago is stuck with Jones. That is unless, you want to do a swap with Florida for Bobrovsky to get put of the contract 4 years earlier. Just in time for the rebuild to be completed.

I think Ottawa likes Parker Kelly too much that they won't trade him, however I wouldn't mind getting Kubalik and Khaira for like a 3rd and a 7th

Meh... Doesn't really matter if anyone agrees with you. this is all pretend anyway. But some of the things you propose aren't bad or arent too far off. Commesso won't sign his ELC for a couple more years though. I doubt Strome gets a contract like that. If they give him that kind of term the AAV will be closer to 4mil. Muzzin has full control over his future in the NHL and probably wouldn't ever waive for CHI. Calgary is probable gonna need Wolf soon. Beaudin has fallen WAAAY down the defensive depth chart, but I think he could probably still turn it around. Mitchell isn't going anywhere. Toews isn't waiving for Ottawa. But grabbing a cap dump goalie like Murray to take a beating for a couple years is a valid option. Other than all that, you're general idea here is pretty on point.

Hoping for some good battles this year :cheers
I think the Hawks have a decent shot at the playoffs - they had some flashes of good play last year and they got better this summer - but like some people above said, even if 5 central teams get into the playoffs, it'll be tough for them to find room. Gotta play the games to see what really happens though.

Can Crawford stay healthy? If so, that tandem is the best in the league.
2 Big additions to the blue line.
Full season of Strome, Nylander...
