This is laughably bad for the Senators, they couldn't even pry a decent prospect out of Florida. I get that the trade protection on Tarasenkos deal allowed him to dictate where he went, but that doesn't change the fact that this trade is horrible. For crying out loud, Anthony Mantha cost the Knights more than this.
This is highway robbery for the Panthers who add another lethal offensive weapon to their already loaded forward group. At only 2.5m, he is going to be extremely valuable. If they want to buy more, they easily could (granted they don't have the money). This was a masterclass of a trade from Zito and a complete blunder by Staios

Vancouver Canucks signed Elias Pettersson (8 Years / $11,600,000 AAV)
I still REALLY think they should've capitalized on the questions regarding his contract status and traded the other Elias Pettersson for a haul from a team thinking they were getting this one.

3 years younger, better defensively, and being a center outweighs 7 points. Oh and Petey had the better offensive year last year too

Great deal for the Canucks, any time you get your franchise centre locked up for 8 years it’s probably good but this is especially good considering people though he would get 12

Cam Talbot and David Rittich, who just shut out the powerful Edmonton Oilers last night, are doing fine. UFA Samsonov would be totally unneeded, so we don't even have to get to the subject of price.

Depends on your definition of availability, since anyone is technically available, but among the UFA class on seller teams, he’s certainly up there.

I mean, they were paid to take him because he had an awful contract. Now Monahan is on a more reasonable contract signed as an UFA, so I feel like the firsts are not related.
Treliving’s splashy summer certainly looks awful in hindsight. How was he unemployed for like, a week?

Henrique could be a secondary or third option should we lose out on Lindholm, however I don't think he would cost a 1st, nor would I want WPG to pay that price.

He's a good prospect, probably gets the same return as Newhook, doesn't get a proven top 4 dman AND a 1st though.
Keep him, he's gonna be a valuable player for NJ but your over valuing still got a laugh out of me</div></div>
The sample size is 40 games. Or I can just use raw numbers
Holtz: 400 minutes 10 5v5 goals 19 5v5 points
To add some perspective
Nick Suzuki 5 5v5 goals 14 points 660 minutes
Caufield 5 goals 12 points 630 minutes
Slaf 3 goals 12 points 590 minutes
Monahan 4 goals 11 points 550 minutes
Newhook 6 goals 9 points 320 minutes
Dach (last year when he “broke out”) 8 goals 18 points 800 minites
